For those down south. What Graham is sitting on is called sand. It's what the beaches are made of up here!😜😃

It certainly looks a lovely beach. It’s just a shame that you only have around 2 days a year up there when it’s warm enough to sit on a beach 😉

Nearly every day in May and June people were sitting on the beach and it was very warm.

The North Sea coast sea breeze is nice when it is too hot.

The weather is warm during spring and summer without being stifling hot like it is in London and the south coast.

Aren't they normally covered in that cold white stuff.

The painted red white and blue  front looks good but there are numerous rust stains running down the ship side from most windows and the ship looks like it needs a good painting.

On our last Oceana cruise we watched the flag being painted. Every time we docked they painted a little more. When we arrived in Southampton it was complete.

It's alright pet,

Put donkey jacket on its summer😎

Graham in the 60/70s lasses up there, all seemed to wear dark brown hosiery, what was the colour called?

Are you sure that isn't just where they had spilt their Newcy Brown...

The times have changed since the pits and shipyards closed.

Nissan and call centres up here now.

I only remember the 70s and 80s.

I was a rep for EMI records late 70s early 80s.

All my girl friends were classy and Pauline was the classiest by far when we met in 1978.

I wonder where Nissan will get their scrap metal. Is anything available locally?🤔

I've just finished watching "Cruise with Ben and David. Cruise update bad news and good news" on u tube. There was  some interesting stuff on there regarding various cruise lines.

Avril

Just googled it, yes very interesting, particularly the bit about Nassau.  It seems they have said cruise passengers will be kept on a very short leash and not be allowed to roam off where they want, hence presumably trips only.  I have been thinking that for a while as tour groups could be kept to certain areas away from other people and then the areas cleaned afterwards.  Not something that appeals to us, but It is the only way I can see cruises going ahead to begin with.

Only time will tell.
