We are scheduled for a January 16, 2021 cruise on Apex. Final payment is due soon but do not want to risk giving them more money at this point. Hoping some kind of announcement from Celebrity and CDC will be out before final payment.

 

Interesting, I just this morning received an email from Celebrity inviting me to start making various reservations; excursions, specialty dining etc.  My cruise is a TA on May 1, not convinced it will sail, but for some positivity I am definitely going to go to my reservation and get in the mode!!

We received the same emails this morning too for our April cruises.

Funny thing is, we already booked our specialty dining a couple of weeks ago.

Good on you!  I opened it up and went to add my dining and excursion choices, they show up in my cart, but when I go to submit, everything disappears.  At this point it is a LOL situation, no doubt I will be able to do it, try and try again.

What a wonderful clip of APEX arriving in Southampton - such a shame that she is now sitting off Bournmouth with no passengers :-(. Our last cruise was on EDGE last year and it was probably the most beautiful ship we have sailed on. Such a shame to see them all sitting waiting for passengers 😞 One day, though, they will all be welcomg us back.

Apex is currently moving from Poole to Pornichet in France, which is basically Saint-Nazare, where the ship was built. May not be a good sign, if a non-revenue TA was planned to be completed shortly.

Kind of going the wrong way, compared to a westbound TA.

What is even more interesting is this cruise is May 1, 2021, I also have a Jan 30, 2021 Summit cruise booked.  So no such email yet for res on this even sooner cruise, hmmmm.what does Celebrity know I wonder?

The CDC has not lifted, nor pushed back, the no sail order yet.

And CLIA's voluntary suspension of cruises doesn’t end until Oct. 31.

Apex won't X sail to the US until these issues are addressed.
