August 17, 2020 - Lunch and Dinner

Headed over to Nyhaven. It's basically about 40 individual outdoor cafe's

We went with the traditional Smorrebord for lunch.

It's not Smorgasbord by any means. It is an open faced sandwich made with heavy dark bread and some type of protein.

Today I had shrimp, I think. I wasn't a fan. But it was a nice setting, and I enjoyed several Carlsberg beers.

East side of the canal

West side. This is the typical picture of Copenahagen

Most of the cafe's are on this side

Waiting on food, enjoying the day

20180817_133942.thumb.jpg.e83bed40a8825e8339a5f10cd1f6e8d6.jpg

Back to the hotel for a nap.

That's the downside to flying to Europe from US. Jetlag

We'll come back for dinner, the pizza looked good

We were on a Baltic cruise this time last year - left from Amsterdam on the Brilliance.  We were supposed to do our first TA this fall but sadly....... 😕.  We did to the L & S to the Odyssey TA for 2021 🤞

Did Laura finish her red sweater? Loving the review!

I believe it was a blanket for our son. UGA  graduate.  Interestingly enough, she's now working on a replacement because she wasn't happy with how it turned out.

Oh yeah, I'm rarely up before 7:30am now...usually 8am or later. 😁  I was talking about being on a plane flying to Europe when landing in the morning Europe time, but it's still middle of the night Eastern time when they serve breakfast on the plane.

Love seeing these photos and excited for me since we missed our baltic cruise 2 weeks ago.   I think we were booked for Scandic Palace because it was in close walking distance to Tivoli, the train station, the canal and other walkable sightseeing things.

I'll have a lot of Copenhagen later tonight.

August 18, 2018 - Oh what a beautiful morning

Up until now, I've been compressing pictures to document size. Let's see how they do full size. CC software automatically shrinks them to some extent

Big race is tomorrow

FYI, turns out CC software did a nice job scaling the above pics down to around 200k, so I'm not going to compress them anymore.  I'll also try and limit each post to around 10 pictures or less

Nyhaven is where it says Hotel Bethel, the Little Mermaid is Lille at the top right

Then back to Freetown canal, thru the canal by Dansk Center then back to Nyhaven

Thank you so much for sharing these photos from Saint Petersburg. Last time I was visiting it was like almost a decade ago. So much has changed since then. I remember the cruise boats were terrible, apparently they got new ones. Its always nice going around Saint P. especially when the weather.. especially if you choose to explore it through the canals. Its like a bigger version of Venice
