That is pretty typical language, although I believe other lines are allowing FCC's to be used until December 31, 2022.

My FCC from Celebrity has to be used by December 31, 2021.

Toofarfromthesea,

How nice of you to respond.

What would we like?  Actually, I'm not really sure.  Adult only sounds good to me.  A choice of dining also does.  So does something to do outside of the resort.  I know there are some that have privileges with other resorts, where you can visit their pools and restaurants.

However......now that I think of it, Cancun (and that part of Mexico) doesn't have any casinos, do they?  We do enjoy that sometimes in the evening after dinner.

Thanks again❤️

I believe Celebrity extended their deadline and you now have until May 4, 2022:

Celebrities policy: "Bookings made using an FCC received from a canceled sailing due to our suspension of operations may be used on a sailing that commences on or before May 4th, 2022." https://www.celebritycruises.com/future-cruise-credit

MSC's FCC policy is still: "our guests will receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) that can be used on any sailing departing on or before 31 December 2021." https://www.msccruises.ca/itinerary-updates

Hi @mafig and @Toofarfromthesea just to be clear, I'm not a travel agent (although I recently retired and am thinking about obtaining my travel agent license just for giggles). I ran a travel message board with over 10,000 members BEFORE trip advisor's forum became popular so that is where I gathered most of my information on All-Inclusives but I would not consider myself an expert any longer. Things change so rapidly.

Overall, I find all-inclusive more relaxing than cruising. Cruising is much more scheduled. The shows start at a certain time, you arrive in port at a certain time, etc... AI's are totally laid back and mostly about the beach/pool. Large A/I's offer many activities if you choose and often include a native show in the evening, but the level of entertainment is not in the same ballpark. I

Since you like casinos, Punta Cana might be a good destination. It's very inexpensive. Aruba also has a few All-Inclusive and gambling. If you want Adults Only, I am reasonably familiar with Secrets resorts and Sandals Resorts having been to several of each. The Secrets brand is owned by AmResorts (which also owns Apple Vacations) and has exploded in popularity. They offer something for everyone. I believe that 'finest' resort may be an offshoot of the original Secrets brand. I would liken Secrets to MSC in terms of value. Their major competition in the adult only all inclusive world is Sandals which is an excellent product too, but you pay for it. One of the Sandals I haven't yet been, but have always wanted to go is Sandals Emerald Bay in Exuma Bahamas. They may have the gambling you seek.

I wish there was some way we could communicate off of here so we don't hijack this thread. However; I do expect with the extended cruise cancellations, several CC members might be looking to try the All-Inclusive route. Trip advisor LLC also owns Cruise critic, so if you you post your question on the trip advisor all inclusive forum I'll try to find you there. Or if there is some way I can email you I would be more than happy to help out. It truly gives me pleasure to help others plan travel :).

MSC took down the cancellation for the November time frame.  It longer appears on the website.

I wonder if it is because there will be different terms for the November refunds. Perhaps a later FCC deadline.

I remember when those guidelines kept changing early this spring for the first cancelations.

My pleasure. Currently, I believe you still need to book by Dec 31, 2021 for Celebrity FCC terms, but you have until May 2022 to sail which is nice. MSC is still sail by December 21, 2021.

PS: I also expect that cruise lines are going to extend the sail-by date on their FCC's. They are going to need to leave room on their ships for 'new' money to board and the longer they keep your money (in terms of a FCC), the better off the company is in terms of cash flow. It's all so dynamic, hard to keep up but the good news is that by December 2021 we should all have a pretty good idea how this is going :)

We will be using our FCC on a TA in October and the day we arrive in Fort Lauderdale we will transfer to Miami for our 1st MSC Cruise on the Meraviglia. We are spoiling ourselves in the YC.
