You likely meant 662,000,000 doses - at least. At 2MM/day, 331 days - or basically a year. Plus, there is a baked in delay for the second dose of about a month, so 331 + 31 = ~1 YEAR. If the 2MM number turns out to be an average volume. That said, we do know that not everyone will take the vaccine, so who knows what that number will be. I indicated "If 70% of Americans want the vaccine". Your numbers are correct for 100%.

Ah, yes, so it was. Well I wonder what the acceptance rate will be in major "western" nations.

Its not about the vaccine but rather for the improvement of medical system in general. We need more hospitals and more medical personnel to take care of the ill

Keksie Posted December 8, 2020 #30 Share Posted December 8, 2020 Until I can be sure that the cruise experience will be something I will enjoy (no masks, ability to do independent excursions, etc.) I will not be planning a cruise. Maybe next year we will start with car trips to areas we know are open and fun. After that maybe a resort somewhere.
sprinkles Posted December 8, 2020 #31 Share Posted December 8, 2020 A casino offer got me to take the plunge. Feb 2022, for a minimal deposit booked my dream cabin (aft vista suite). Final payment due in November. We decided we needed something to look forward to. Will only go if we have been vaccinated and if it ends up longer then planned , then that much longer in my dream cabin lol!
drowelf Posted December 8, 2020 #32 Share Posted December 8, 2020 (edited) All of our 2021 cruises so far have been cancelled, either by us or the lines themselves. But we have 2 booked for 2022. As we are out of FCCs at this time, not looking to give the lines any new $$$ at this time either. We might book something for late 2021, but it would not be until 2nd Quarter 2021 as we want to see how vaccine rollout goes around the world. Or we may just do land vacations next year. Just holding in a wait and see pattern for now. Edited December 8, 2020 by drowelf
