Celebrity Canceling thru March??

Just posted on the Celebrity boards.  Looking to see whats up with my Allure Jan 3rd cruise and saw this.  All Celebrity Cruises N/A thru March.  Will Rccl Follow?

Not necessarily so.

 

X has gone all inclusive.  RCCL has not.  Same company.  Different philosophy.

 

If your comment is correct, RCCL and X will both cancel at the same time.

Of course there are differences between the lines just as there are differences in the demographics with Celebrity predominantly catering to an older crowd that may be more reluctant to resume cruising right away.  
 

Your comment about Roysl wanting to collect more money is more of a corporate (RCG) decision amd if that were the real motive it would be done equally across the brands rather than just using one brand to bring in more money.

Exactly.  Celebrity canceled the remainder of the doomed 2020/2021 Aussie season awhile ago as well.  But does RCI do the right thing on the obvious?  Noooooo.....  

 

We are still giving them free interest loans.  😡

And IMHO...being the same company...indeed they SHOULD both cancel at the same time, having the same obvious conclusions.

NCL just announced all cruises canceled through  March.

Not quite all NCL cruises cancelled thru March 2021. NCL still have some itineraries available on NCL Encore, Escape, & Joy during March. As said above, all other NCL cruises cancelled thru March 2021.
