Weather conditions.  Guernsey is notorious for adverse sea conditions,  and probably about 50%of the time the tenders cannot operate.

You are going to love the ship and the itinerary.  We have done this twice, both times on the Caribbean Princess and will be doing a similar voyage next April on the Crown as we sail from here in Florida and transatlantic to Southampton by way of Portugal and France then the second voyage is doing some of the ports you are visiting (Guernsey, Cork, Dublin and Glasgow) but with Portland and Holyhead thrown in.

If you are thinking of flying in a day or two earlier to London, my advice is to do at least two days ahead of embarkation, take Smith's for Airport livery to Southampton from Heathrow and stay at the Ibis Hotel.  It is moderately priced and a lot cheaper than London and a short walk to the train station.  Here you can take the train the next day to Stonehenge or Westminster and enjoy a pre-cruise exploration.

The port stop you are taking in LaHave for Paris is quite a distance from Paris itself and the trip eats up most of the day.  We opted to take the tour to see Normandy and the history there.

I am taking same cruise next year with Royal Caribbean.  Almost same itinerary but Royal is like $1800 cheaper for same amount of days.

Thanks for  all the Advice we always try to fly in 1 or 2 before cruise and take a few days after there is 4 of us in this cruise so we will  decide dates later . . . After this cruise we are traveling on NCL out of New Orleans. For the Caribbean 7 days First cruise with NCL So far 55 family members on this cruise first time with my kids and grandkids . Anyone ever sail on the Breakaway ?  We are on the NCL roll call too.
