cruising ban in Australia?

Woman on superyacht that arrived in Cairns one of two people in Queensland with COVID-19, yacht crew 'not cooperating' - ABC News

Surprised that this superyacht was permitted to cruise in Australian waters, given the cruising ban?

Or are some exempt?

Looks a beautiful vessel but out of the price range of most.

It’s in Queensland , they make their own rules to suit themselves ( and the votes) 😡

Entry into Australia is under the control of the federal government.

 

While he is a Queenslander, it is Dutton’s responsibility.  😡😡😡

I suspect the yacht people didn't bother getting permission, they probably just turned up assuming they could stop there.

Seems some places are open for the cruise business albeit with limitations.

Seems as long as they comply with quarantine conditions they can sail in.

Heres one where a NZ citizen bought a boat and sailed home on his own .

‘Amazing,must have missed his jangles.

 I don’t think they can stop a returning citizen and would have had a good quarantine.

It would be bad to come down with it in the middle of nowhere all alone.
