Does Princess refund the Travel Protection premium after final payment if Princess cancels the cruise?

They did for me.

We had purchased independent insurance for our March 2020 cruise that was cancelled.  Weeks later it occurred to me to ask for a refund...which they granted!

I also had 3rd party insurance that was also refunded to me when I requested it.

it should be refunded or you can apply it to a future cruise; which is what I did

Our November 2020 cruise on the Royal Princess was cancelled.  We we requested a refund for the cost of independent insurance.  It was denied by Princess ... after 5 months and many emails.

We asked the insurance carrier (not Princess) to refund us the 3rd party insurance. I used Allianz.

 

If you were not able to get a refund - maybe ask to transfer it to a future trip.

Did you ask the independent insurance company?
