Well Tiaki has now fledged (yesterday) and is now free to roam the oceans.  I believe she will not come back for 4 - 10 years when it will be time to return home to breed.  It was amazing watching her learn to fly.  A few belly flops on the way.

They reported that it has been a good year for chicks with 30 successful hatches this year.  Only around 3 are left to fledge now and they will be gone in a day or two.

May you have fair winds little bird.

Now that Tiaki has fledged, thought some may be interested in the Victorian peregrine project. There is a livecam of a peregrine's nest in the Melbourne CBD. The eggs have just hatched and you can (perhaps) see the babies when mum is feeding them.

I have seen the footage of when the eagle landed in 1969.

It never happened, apparently it was all filmed in a studio in California or somewhere like that. 🤔🤔😂😂
