Cruise Ships Banned in Canadian Waters until February 2022

Just announced that cruise ships with more than 100 people onboard will continue to be banned from Canadian waters until February 2022.  So no Alaska cruises in 2021.

 This is ridiculous, they're estimating herd immunity by the end of the Summer 2021 - why have a ban that goes beyond that? 😡

What?  We’re not even going to be vaccinated by end of summer.

Best case scnario, BC is projecting completing everyone 18+ by the end of September, but that schedule may very well slide to later. Cruising is a global industry, so in addition to other Provinces and the US, we also have to consider other countries, many of which haven't even started with vaccinations.

Maybe this will help force an altering of the Passenger Vessel Services Act that requires the stop in a foreign port...

One can only hope.  It's long overdue, in my opinion.
