This cruise is taking me to some of my very favourite places. We had a holiday in Dubrovnik in 1983 when it was still part of Yugoslavia and found the city to be fascinating. These  2 pictures are from that holiday when we had time to go up the cable car and leave the city at sunset.

Beautiful photos of Dubrovnik. We booked our Azura  May cruise to the Eastern Med mainly because we wanted to see Croatia. Expecting that to be cancelled, I booked a similar cruise in September. Don’t even think that will happen unfortunately.

Our second visit was in 2008 when the city was still recovering from the war and we were staggered by how much damage had been done and how well the city was being restored. These pictures were taken from our walk around the wall so we could see where the new shiny, bright orange tiles had been used to repair the damaged rooves. We thought that the walk was well worth while as it gave a wonderful perspective of the whole old city.

After walking the walls, we did an hour's boat trip from the port which took us along the coast. We packed a lot into that day. We should have returned on a cruise in 205 but the port was cancelled because the ship was very late leaving Venice as there was a terrible storm. i was very disappoited but that's cruising for you!!!

Hello again, Here are a few of my pics from Dubrovnik, Sept 2019, Oceana, after a rain soaked Venice, fabulous weather, we packed a lot in our day, walk the walled city, refreshments in a shaded alley, then up in cable car( bit of a long wait) then these fantastic panoramic views, Lunch in the restaurant (with views) at top of cable car.  Will stay aboard for santorini & enjoy the views🏖️

Another day on board  for us  have not been on a cruise  but stayed

for a week in a hotel back in 2012  pics have gone awol. We

crammed in a lot of walking and a tour of one  of the nearby islands

and one to kotor. Dubrovnik was great when the cruise ships were

not there!

Another time at Dubrovnik we went on a tour to a Brandy tasting and on to Cavtat. There does't seem to any of the actual tatsting, I was too busy.

Our first holiday abroad was to Cavtat in 1982.  We would like to visit there again but both times that we have been to Dubrovnik on cruises there have not been tours to Cavtat.

On our first visit to Dubrovnik in 2003, we did a full day tour to Dubrovnik and Cavtat. Unfortunately, the photos for that one are in the loft. But Cavtat was lovely, and quite peaceful

Fabulous pictures of Santorini. It is definitely one of my top 5 destinations. We visited  in 1992 when we were on our first cruise and were totally captivated. Our second visit was in 2008 when we got up very early to see the sunrise...
