Most likely if it goes it will be changed as the cdc is not allowing any cruises longer than 7 days prior to nov 1st, 2021. Chance it could be changed but there is a reason carnival isnt selling this cruise right now.
SNJCruisers Posted March 14, 2021 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2021 1. Don't worry about roll call 2. Don't worry about 8 day cruise 3. Nobody is sailing on August 14th out of Galveston, unless you're talking in 2022.

I'm holding out hope for sept. Stick to known facts.

The CDC has a 60 day mandated waiting period after the test cruises are completed before short paying cruises can commence. Known fact #3. Carnival has already announced that Galveston is the third port that they will embark from after Miami and PC. After combining the above 3 known facts, even if the CDC changes their 8 day cruise ban or if Carnival reduces the number of days of those cruises, they can't be sailing out of Galveston only 75 days after a possible June 1 test cruise. Speculation....Test cruises will not start on June 1. Short cruises will commence before full week cruises. First full week cruise on Carnival will be the Mardi Gras. SNJCruisers Posted March 14, 2021 #9 Share Posted March 14, 2021 Best of luck, but be prepared to be the recipient of some OBC from Carnival.

MagnoliaBlossom Posted March 15, 2021 #11 Share Posted March 15, 2021 We are not booked on this cruise, but on the 8 day previously scheduled for 10/23. We received a letter from CCL citing the CDC prohibition of cruises longer than 7 days. We were given the option of rolling this to another cruise with benefits, or getting a cash refund. Still undecided about what to do, but we have time to make that decision.
