Jeal Posted April 11, 2021 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2021 There are a few Ocean Suites on the Mardi Gras that are on corners - 10276 is one. What are the pros and cons of those suites? We are considering sailing in one.
mondello Posted April 11, 2021 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2021 Yeah, I was looking at these today. The balcony is on a section that juts out wider than the row of balcony cabins in front of it. Seems it would be getting more wind than the regular balcony cabins along the side of the ship. I've only splurged for a balcony on our Alaska cruise but, I saw some great rates (for 3 pax) on Mardi Gras for Ocean Suites in off-peak cruises.
dbrucern Posted April 11, 2021 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2021 We have one booked for the July 10th cruise if it happens only because we received a great Casino rate which I know most people do not get unfortunately. We chose it because we thought we would have a little more balcony privacy and actually love a good breeze. However we are also booked on the January 22/2022 cruise because we were bumped off the original Mardi Gras cruise in 2020. We have an Excel Corner Aft suite also at a fantastic casino rate. This room is the one we are really looking forward too, my hubby is happy because these rooms come with a coffee pot in the room (its the little things), me because there is a hot tub on the balcony which I plan to be in every evening. But again we would not be able to afford these rooms if it was not for the rate we were offered now if the cruises happen.
firefly333 Posted April 11, 2021 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2021 Mardi gras suites also give bubbles as a perk last I heard. Soda pkg.

Lil2Angelic Posted April 12, 2021 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2021 Congratulations @Jeal! I'm so excited to hear everyone's thoughts on the Mardi Gras once she sails!
gnegron22 Posted April 17, 2021 #7 Share Posted April 17, 2021 I have room 12304 booked for Feb, also our friends that are going with us have a regular balcony 12302. Can't wait till we can get a previews of the OS Corners room. I wanted one facing towards the rear due to the wind tunnel, but I think we will be fine due to the side shield. I'm more concern of our friends room then mine.
jetsfan58 Posted April 17, 2021 #8 Share Posted April 17, 2021 I remain just humbled and hopefully we will begin cruising soon. See when you are a legacy inside cruiser my days are not spent on a bunch of research, wishing for the unknown and/or relying on Google commentary. I already know that I will be buffered by the sometime larger and outward facing cabins; those in general with the much higher price tags. Maybe that's the Cruise Nut DNA that I was born with. Congratulations to all that have won, paid or lucked up on a Carnival Suite. Let's just Get The Sea Days Started Already!!!
Moviela Posted April 18, 2021 #9 Share Posted April 18, 2021 I hear they are having trouble recruiting a can crusher on Mardi Gras. People offered the position say it is soda pressing.😁

tree.critter Posted April 18, 2021 #11 Share Posted April 18, 2021 I am going to be interested when the reviews start coming in on these cabins, I have one of these suites booked on the Celebration TA, I really hope we like it. It’s the first time ever to book a suite and since we assume this will be our once in a lifetime TA I felt splurging a little was worth it.
hebbynan Posted April 20, 2021 #12 Share Posted April 20, 2021 We have an Excel Suite booked for our youngest son’s high school graduation in June 2022. (Here’s hoping things are cruising again by then) We’ve never had a suite before on any of our cruises so we’re super excited! The main reason we got a suite is because it’s me, hubby, our oldest son who will be 22 and our youngest son who will be 18. We need more room with those big “kids”. I can’t wait to see the Mardi Gras reviews once sailings start again.
kelkel2 Posted April 29, 2021 #13 Share Posted April 29, 2021 I can’t wait to see the reviews on these cabins. We have one booked on the Lido deck and it will be our first cruise with our children. I think these cabins look fantastic on paper, however, I could see the potential for more wind depending on the way your facing/sailing.
