39august Posted April 19, 2021 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2021 I have read a thread where one referred to a "chartered ship list" Anyone know how to find that information, please?
ECCruise Posted April 19, 2021 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2021 Here is a list. But generally, there are a number of charters in the works that you don't find out about until you get the cancellation notice on your sailing. 3

Been on Cruise Critic for a lot of years, and haven't ever heard of this site. Thanks for posting. It will be very helpful. Rollie
swsf99a Posted April 20, 2021 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2021 Just wondering....the list has full ship charters, Is there a list for group charters when only part of the ship is taken? We have been on a full ship charter such as the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer— the whole ship is Buckeye fans. We have been on cruises where part of the ship is a group charter, the Golden Girls was about half the ship. We were on a HAL cruise and half the ship wasThe MasterChef group. Ant comments? There are so many small group charters that a comprehensive list would be extremely difficult to prepare and maintain. We just search (ship + "charter") to see what group(s) might be aboard a cruise we are considering.
Rare cruisestitch Posted April 20, 2021 #8 Share Posted April 20, 2021 It would be nigh unto impossible to create a list of partial charters, i.e. group cruises. Virtually any travel agent can create a group cruise for an affinity group, a fan club, a family reunion, any group at all that you can think of. Since it would not be open for booking to outsiders, there would be pretty much no way anyone else would know about it, and no way to get it on a registry or a list of group Cruises. A group cruise isn't a "charter" by a number of metrics, like number of pax. I guess you could search around for your sailing date and see if there is a group on it (which may be from 20 people to 2000) but otherwise with the hundreds and hundreds of group sailings annually, it would take a lot of time to track them down. Rare cruisestitch Posted April 21, 2021 #10 Share Posted April 21, 2021 And so many are closed to outsiders....there would be no advertising and no way to find them
Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted April 21, 2021 #11 Share Posted April 21, 2021 If you end up on a Harley group cruise, don't worry! It was super fun to watch the hogs being offloaded each morning and back on in the afternoon, and the owners are fun people!
