I’m pleased it didn’t get approved.  When I last stayed in Hobart in January I had a view of the mountain from my bedroom window.  It was covered in cloud every day bar one!  It is up to the people to stop proposals such as this one. We had a similar application on the Gold Coast for Springbrook, another natural beauty!

That Hobart Council is in a time warp, probably loaded with the 'Greens'..the cable car depictions are not a blight on the landscape, imagine the tourist dollars.  I hope the developers appeal and construct it.

All depends on how much time one plans to stay in the area. For you Uncle Les I would definitely get you to the Spitfire Grill. For others they may want to do something else.

Lyle, a load of big earthquakes up north of you around Perryville, Alaska, including an 8.2.  Biggest quake in USA since 1965 apparently.  Majestic Princess doing the inside passage was about 1,000 km away.

Apparently it was big. We didn't feel it here. We didn't have any tsunami warnings in Canada and they have been called off in Alaska.
