Rules: See above That's it. This isn't a contest. All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising). Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize. The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays. Post one. Post many. Up to you. Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others! Docker123 Posted June 10, 2021 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2021 A glorious Thursday morning is early Winter here is Williamstown (Melbourne). What better than go and take some photos down by the bay? Oh, it looks like the bay is coming closer to my home How is the view over the bay? What about some boats in the Anchorage Marina? The launch middle right seems to be settling a bit low in the water. This yacht has not got the idea of keeping its bow dry. How did this one get parked on the rocks? Perhaps this blue one followed the white one.

Docker123 Posted June 13, 2021 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Friday evening i had a play with long exposure shots (a topic for the camera club in July). These are done at 2 seconds, monopod and bracing on the fence. Some train shots (green relfection of street light) and a couple of care lights.
zackiedawg Posted June 14, 2021 #7 Share Posted June 14, 2021 The wetlands life from Saturday, June 12th... A least bittern wandering along the reeds at the waterline: Looking into the gridded eyes of a blue darter dragonfly: The black-necked stilts were still on high alert, protecting their chicks: A juvenile boat-tailed grackle calling for mom to bring some food: Even pigeons can be pretty when the light hits them: A pair of moorhen chicks staying close to mom:
Rare pierces Posted June 14, 2021 Author #8 Share Posted June 14, 2021 Friday evening, we treated our daughter and her aunt-in-law to dinner and drinks at our favorite little speakeasy. With California scheduled for release from Covid jail on the 15th, the table games were out of quarantine and back on display. I heard someone say the last fifteen months have been a roller coaster. Maybe they have never been on a roller coaster because there are actual ups along with the downs and this feels more like a long unpowered glide descending into the ocean as the crew works frantically to get the engines restarted. The little table games and the decline in aggressive mask shaming are a sign that at least one engine has power now and the pilot is hauling back on the stick just in time to avert disaster. Maybe we can gain some altitude soon? Breaking Out! Dave
boeckli Posted June 15, 2021 #9 Share Posted June 15, 2021 After a cold 🥶 and gloomy Thursday, Friday returned to gloriously sunny winter conditions so a little beachside walk was in order while I was out running some errands.
