It appears from his Facebook page, that Dyea Dave passed away in April.

 

I enjoyed his tour and his personality.

Thanks for posting.  Dyea Dave was well regarded among the travelers he entertained.  He will be missed.

We loved his tours. He had an interesting personality. We also toured with his sister. She too was quite a character, I still remember her story of getting a bear. 😊

Hey guys, got an email from Dyea Dave this week, an it said he wished he could hear from me, an I thought, must be a scam, so I didn't answer. Anybody else get one?

yes, I also received the following email:

 

"I'm sorry for bothering you with this. I need to get a Google Play Gift Card for my Niece, it's her birthday but I can't do this now because I'm currently on a short trip. I tried purchasing online but unfortunately now lock with it. Can you get it from any store around you or visit the website to get it done? I'll reimburse you. Kindly let me know if you can handle this."'

 

We had an excursion booked with him for this August. I'm sorry to hear that he has passed away.  We have not been contacted that our excursion was cancelled.

I also received an email yesterday wanting to know how I was doing lately from Dyea Dave.

This email was not wrote in the style of what I have received from my emails with Dave last year.

And what was odd to me, it was a new email and not part of the previous email chain.

 

I thought it was strange that he did not acknowledge my earlier email canceling our June 2021 tour when Princess when Princess re-scheled us for 2022. 

 

For me, I believe this is spam for me and something worse for you kldbu. I will be looking at other tour options while we are in Skagway.
