Arrival check in time slot

Since when do Princess and Carnival do the same things.  On Princess, for 40 bucks a day you get their drinks package, gratuities and wifi.  The same items a la carte on Carnival would cost you well over double that.

Princess cabins cost more, they don't depend as much on extras. Since when has Carnival tried to compete with anyone on marketing/loyalty programs? Some time ago Carnival stated they preferred customers who cruise for the brand, not who cruise for bribes/perks.

I was just going on a quote I read from JH because of the increasing number of Platinum cruisers.   I personally could not care less.  Priority boarding and the roped off line at guest services are the only 2 Platinum perks I care about.

If I'm gold but turn platinum on the cruise will I get to check in early?

I am gold and will turn platinum on the cruise.  As of right now, I do not have the earlier check in date.  I emailed Carnival to ask, but the email response said that they didn't handle this and I would need to call.  I called and the customer service person said that she doesn't have the ability to change anything and suggested that I send in a request form.  I looked for an appropriate request form and didn't find anything, so I used the VIFP one.  So far, I have not heard back.

The customer service person did tell me that although I would need to choose an appointment time, there will still be a priority line at the cruise.

I guess the only way anyone will know for sure is when someone with FTTF can check in for their cruise.

bought FTTF for my July cruise to Alaska. They ended up cancelling it. Saying they are unable to offer it, while maintain CDC guidelines. I'm hoping FTTF is around for my Nov Cruise

Welcome to the platinum club!  Let's donate money to Carnival in the casino together sometime!

I'm still not sure why they can't let priority and FTTF passengers do their online check in one day before the rest of the passengers.  That way the priority people would be able to choose earlier appointment times since that benefit is temporarily being taken away.

This is, in fact, going to happen. A cording to JH, platinum & diamond will be able to get check in times two days PRIOR to the general apointmentopening. So those folks can check in and get the appointment 16 days prior, not 14.

Normally you would have a lovely red Priority on your luggage tags and boarding pass but these are not normal times. I dont think anyone here can advise you because we are going through this for the first time too. I think someone said to call Carnival. As they only just changed our check-in date back 2 days and you werent included they may be treating you as a Gold but dont worry. You should be treated as a Platinum when you get on board, and if you are traveling with a D/P you are included in their group. If your S/S is Gold just go to Guest Services (D/P line) and they will give you a nice new PLATINUM card. It's happened before the Wu Hu Flu and was easily fixed. If your day is still the later one try to do your check-in real early on the day they gave you so you will be right there by the Platinums. Congratulations on making Platinum.😃

Thanks!  I plan on checking in right after midnight and will select the earliest time.   Even my husband is excited about reaching platinum.  I think the people turning platinum on their next cruise probably just fell through the cracks of whatever program the IT people used to change the check in dates because it does show platinum on my documents.  It's not a huge deal.  I am just happy my cruise is sailing and will definitely not let little things affect my excitement.

I've just checked for my September cruise and check-in dates have been moved to 16 days. I've noticed a couple of people commenting about checking in just after midnight on their date - if I do that from the west coast is that going to be midnight my time, or perhaps midnight east coast time?

Stupid question but it’s been a long time since on carnival, where do you find check in time?

You dont get one until you do your online check-in, 14 days before your cruise or 2 days earlier if you are Priority ( Diamond, Platinum or Suite)

I looked at my booking. It shows it now.

Midnight EST For you should be 9PM the night before. Three hours difference NYC and LA.

According to John Heald, FTTF will not be available in July.  Those who purchased it will receive a refund.  No mention of August and beyond, but it's worth noting that it is no longer available on our September cruise.  It was still listed as of last night.  I am platinum so I haven't tried to complete a purchase, but it was letting me add it to the cart before.

We had purchased FTTF for our September cruise and just received a refund last week.

Yes, I understand the time difference, thank you. I was just wondering if, since the ship is sailing from the west coast, there is some type of algorithm that will keep me from checking in until midnight my time (on the west coast), instead of east coast time.

Yes, me too! Nobody knows how to handle this situation at all, sadly. I have tried reaching out to John Heald, Carnival on Facebook and they all say they will check into it and we should be able to check-in with Platinum guests, but mine still says 14 day prior on my manager page. I pretty much give up trying at this point.

Just so everyone is aware, I was able to check in 16 days prior with the Platinum and Diamond guests! I would suggest if yours is not showing the 16 days prior on your carnival manager page, call carnival. I would also send John Heald a quick message with your booking number and names on the booking. I would also send carnival a message on the messenger on FB. All of these helped and it was taken care of for me. Happy cruising to all of us!!

I just printed my luggage tags for Aug 10, Miracle cruise.  I am platinum, but tags do not show Priority on them.  It shows Online Check-in available on July 25, 2021 & Complete Health Assessment available on July 28,2021.  I wonder if the luggage tags will change to priority after I check in.

I just completed check-in and selected an arrival appointment for our July 15th cruise.  We are platinum.  I'm not seeing "priority" printed on the boarding pass or luggage tags (like before) but our "Arrival Appointment" is 10:30 - 11:00 (Boarding Zone A02), and we are happy with that (it's actually earlier than we expected).

Just looked and my August, September and October cruises are all 16 days before.  In October we are linked with 2 other rooms of family that are traveling with us and they are not Diamond and they show their check in as the 14 days before.  I will just wait until the 24th and check us all in together.

Perhaps I had missed it before, but it's going to be Diamond, Platinum, and Suites @ 16 days out?

What kind of arrival/time options have been offered for those of you who've already checked in?

I'll set a timer for 12am -- as that's reason enough to have interrupted sleep!  😄
