zodiac1 Posted June 21, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2021 Has anyone heard any rumors that Celebrity will be doing a July 4th sale?

wrk2cruise Posted June 22, 2021 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2021 Don't expect any sales for the foreseeable future other than things like double points and things like that which don't affect the bottom line.
cruiserchuck Posted June 22, 2021 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2021 One year I waited for the July 4 sale to make a booking. The price increased the day the sale began. Others reported here that this happened for many cruises. I generally no longer wait for sales.
jelayne Posted June 22, 2021 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2021 We have a cruise booked that is at 30% sold, little chance of sailing and the price has held steady for 18 months.
kevanmia Posted June 22, 2021 #6 Share Posted June 22, 2021 It's the cruise industry. Everything is always on sale. Always. If you bought something that wasn't on sale, you better ask for your money back. 1
Rare graphicguy Posted June 22, 2021 #7 Share Posted June 22, 2021 Noticed the same...every cruise is "on sale". But, truth is, very little (if anything) changes with the fares. I do get a rebate from my TA and some OBC that Celebrity doesn't offer, but that has nothing to do with Celebrity. Even tracking Royal, Carnival and NCL fare changes and "sales", the fares are steady, regardless of when I look at sailing or category I'm interested in. I think the days of "sales" for fares are in the rearview mirror. I do know with Royal the earlier you book, the better the fare. And for NCL, the later you booked, the better the fare. None of that seems to be the case, anymore.
GTarrant Posted June 22, 2021 #8 Share Posted June 22, 2021 Given how many people are booked on cruises with the COVID "Best Rate Guarantee" that is valid and in force even after final payment is made, I can't see too many sales happening this year (and I agree with others that it feels like "sales" as they were are currently a rarity anyway, it's just a shifting around of various perks and you book when the perks or add-one offered are the ones you want).
