We requested our medallion mailed to our home prior to cruise, any idea as to when we will receive it. We leave in 42 days.

10-12 days ahead of embarkation.  Give or take a couple days.

The crux of my original point. If an unscrupulous sales person wants to sell my granddaughter a $10,000 watch using her credit card backed medallion……who/what is to stop them??

what protections do the card holder have since Princess has effectively coerced the sharing of a credit card with a minor child?

Many banks now have credit cards for children with limits you can set and monitor   The cruise lines have to have something to charge gratuities for each person and unless they have a beverage plan they need something to pay for sodas etc

And here I thought my husband was the worst worrier ever.  This seems like a non-starter for a problem.  The unscrupulous sales person is ON the ship.  So you have them take the item back and credit your onboard account.

The point of this is that most all credit card companies and banks have a minimum age for credit cards. Usually 18. And that includes giving authorization of the adults card. There is also contract law concerning a minor. This system appears to go around all of that…..or tries to.

Have you contacted Princess to ask about this issue?  You make some valid points, and it's a genuine concern.

Genuine concern ? Really ? Do you think any sales person is going to risk losing their job by selling a $10k watch (or indeed anything over $20) to a child ?

I meant it was a genuine concern to the grandmother, and how she feels like handling this situation with her young granddaughter.  It could be something simpler like buying candy in the gift shop when she shouldn't be eating extra sugar.  So, yes.  Really.

I still don't understand why a child of that age would be wandering around a ship on their own or out of sight of the grandparent - no children/grandchildren of mine at that age would be - especially if they cannot be trusted, after all all ships are dangerous places.

Whether or not you agree with the situation/parenting is not the issue.  The op asked a question and was seeking answers.  As more experienced cruisers, some of us may have the answer(s) she needs.

To the op, you can stop by guest services and place either a daily limit or cruise length limit on her card.  Then you can check you account on your stateroom tv ( or on the ap on your phone) daily as a double check.  I have done that many times for our son when  he was younger.  He had the ability to check himself in/out of the kids club since the age of 10.  We had set up check in times thruout the day and a curfew at night ( yea he did try that curfew-once- until he found out we meant business when he was grounded to the cabin the next day😉).  We didnt want him to spend a lot buying candy for his new friends.

It worked for us-hope this helps

I apologize.  I have searched, but I can’t make the search pull up what I need.  I imagine this topic has been addressed, and since it didn’t apply to me, I skipped on by.

With two bookings, how do I see the second in the Medallion app?  I am only able to see the first.  Or must I wait until the first cruise is completed to see the second?

If they are back to back they will only show up as one cruise

When you open the app, tap your profile picture in the bottom right and you should see both dates pop up under your profile banner across the top. You can then switch between voyages.

And there it is.  Thank you!!

So the app says green lane but for the last week the check-in web page says incomplete and go to the app. The app doesn’t show anything missing.

What am I missing? I leave in 13 days.

It could be because you don't have your medallion as yet

What check in web page ?  The personalized will let you book spa services and excursions but all check in is done through the app

When you go the Princess web page to manage the cruise, under the check in page.

You need to sue the Princess App in order to complete registration and check-in information.  If you have issues with using smartphone (or device), there is a web version of the App which you can link to from the Cruise Personalizer (still requires a second login or use Name, Booking Number, Birthdate).

Perhaps it is unclear to you what the issue is

the app is complete

and has boarding time and QR code

the Cruise Personalizer is now showing

incomplete for arrival status

A recent glitch

We booked a  2024 cruise. I downloaded the Medallion app and signed in without any problem. I then got a casino credit. My travel agent had Princess apply this credit to our booking. However, for some reason, Princess had to change the booking number. Now when I try to log in the Medallion, it says the new booking number is already being used and the old booking number has been cancelled! I have deleted the medallion app and reinstalled without any luck.

Has any had experience with this or have any advice? Thanks!!
