Sorry to hear that. That is just not acceptable me as I'm fully vaxxed.

We get it...honestly, we do.    The horse is dead.  FWIW, I'm fully vaxxed too..and I expect these protocols re masks to change quickly.

I see that they had shows but did they also have karaoke, trivia, or fun love and marriage show?

From some YT videos I saw, they definitely had karaoke and trivia.  I know they didn't do Quest.

I went to a ballgame tonight. I had four people in front of me, four people directly behind me, and the 3 people to my left, all within 6 feet of me. The game lasted approximately 3 1/2 hours. No one was wearing wristbands and/or identified themselves as being vaccinated or non-vaccinated in any way, shape or form. I have no idea if all of them, one of them, or none of them were vaccinated. I didn't ask either. And I really don't care. Why? Because I'm vaccinated.

If everyone would worry about their own vaccination, their own wrist, and their own business I bet their own cruise would be more enjoyable.

BTW, the Astros won 9-6 coming back from a 4 run deficit for the win.

Wouldn't it be a great world if there were cruises that would be totally vaccinated, ones for totally unvaccinated and ones for we're vaccinated so are willing to share our air?

Problem is the totally un-vaxxed cruises would be making headlines right before the cruise industry is shut down again. Oh well, nice try.

Yay, Astros!  Still a little shocked no Astros made the starting All-Star team.  (With the new ugly All-Star uniforms at that!).

Same here - everyone out and about, masks mostly a thing of the past.  People mingling.  All good.

I did just see this in the Austin news.  1/3 of the 450 campers came down with positive cases.  It’s the only major outbreak I’d heard of in Texas in quite a while!

@linga Thanks for sharing your experience.  It's too bad this thread was side tracked by people complaining about masks, wrist bands, and other first world problems.  Enjoy your cruise! 🤭

There is an old expression... really old... something about not getting in a fight with someone who has an endless supply of ink.... paraphrasing...  I could be updated to something like, never get in a fight with someone who has unlimited data plan.... anyway ... lets get back on topic.. I had to go back to check... want to know more about any changes to protocols onboard... any sense if they are loosening or tightening? How is social distancing at elevators and in shops? Is that an issue at all.

To clarify, we only have to wear them when walking down the halls near the rooms, when 1st entering the dining room & and on the promenade. You don’t have to wear them in the bars, show room, casino,  while dining, near the pools, etc.   as I said it’s really not much after all.

I was so tired of wearing a mask, I was concerned about having to do it, but it’s been so minimal, it hasn’t been any issue or made the cruise any less enjoyable at all..

You don’t have to wear your masks in the bars at all? Does this include the nightclub as well?

So I was also on the July 2nd sailing. I have 2 videos on YouTube already for Days 1 and 2 and Day 3 will go up tomorrow. I also traveled with my 5 year old.

Cruise was amazing. I hate masks, but like the person before me said, they didn't take away from the cruise. It was so minimal. My son had to wear his more than I did because he had to wear it in the kids clubs at all times and he was fine.

No in the nightclub. Actually most of the bars are vaccinated only but if you look at the list almost all vaccinated areas are adult areas. Really doesn’t affect 12 under because they can’t go anyway.

Coincidentally I watched your day one video before I found this thread! Your vlogs so far on Freedom are very helpful as we are strongly considering sailing on her over NYE!! Subscribed!
