Predict Formal Night?

Any way to predict which night of an 8 day cruise will be formal night?

(It's an 8-day southbound Voyage of the Glaciers from Whittier, AK to Vancouver BC on the Majestic Princess if that matters).

My guess:

Anchorage -> not on embarkation day

Hubbard Glacier until 8pm -> no

Glacier Bay National Park until 7pm -> probably

Skagway until 8:30 -> no

Juneau until 4pm -> yes

Ketchikan until 6pm -> no

Sea Day -> no bc next day you disembark

Vancouver -> bye bye

It's usually the first sea day and the other one depends upon the times in port.  It is NOT always a sea day.  On AK cruises, the day before you disembark is a sea day and it is never that day.  We always joked that was because that didn't give people enough time to buy those last formal portraits.  If the last port day sail away time is 5 or earlier, it'll be that day.  If not, it'll probably be a "scenic cruising" day.
