excitedcruiser Posted July 24, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2021 My daughter's boyfriend is cruising with us and he vapes and we are curious to know if there is limit on the amount of juice you can bring on board? If he was to break or loose his vape can you purchase them on any of the islands? Thanks in advance.
firefly333 Posted July 24, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2021 I had to put on glasses to read this print. So hard to read for older eyes. Smoking is very limited. I saw a post to board late if you are a smoker because you cant smoke until the ship leaves dock or something. One side of deck 11 maybe and part of,casino if you are actively playing. We dont know your ports so hard to say what you can buy in some unknown port, but maybe.
wemjam Posted July 24, 2021 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2021 Make sure he understands, ALL the same rules apply to vaping that apply to smoking. You have designated areas only and you can not vape in the room or on the balcony. I have seen some supplies in different ports we have been in.
excitedcruiser Posted July 24, 2021 Author #4 Share Posted July 24, 2021 I have spoken to him in depth the rules about smoking on a ship. Just want to check on how much juice he can bring and if he happens to loose or break his vape. Thanks
Trinam2 Posted July 24, 2021 #5 Share Posted July 24, 2021 (edited) I've never had an issue bringing my vape supplies. I pack them in my carry on and have never had a problem. As far as buying in ports, I'm sure you can find some. Like most vapers, I am partial to one specific brand and you never know who is going to have them. I just pack extra in case of a break. Have fun Edited July 24, 2021 by Trinam2
Elaine5715 Posted July 24, 2021 #6 Share Posted July 24, 2021 Be aware that purchasing vape juice overseas can be dicey. There is no oversight on manufacturing and ingredients
James4me Posted July 24, 2021 #7 Share Posted July 24, 2021 If he’s concerned one might break, just go buy several and pack it in your carry on. Don’t purchase in a foreign port.
sammee Posted July 24, 2021 #8 Share Posted July 24, 2021 When I did it, I carried a small bottle, the size of sample shampoo bottles. I put them in a ziplock sandwich bag in case of leakage. If you're flying, put it in the carryon the same as you do other bottles of liquid. And like the others said, rules same as reg. smokers. This was all of my cruises until 2019. No need for it now, I'm done.
kskelley40 Posted July 24, 2021 #9 Share Posted July 24, 2021 Finding a vape shop easily would also depend on the port. San Juan probably has some, Cozumel probably, but some of the smaller islands ??? Plus they are probably not regulated. I would advise bringing a backup unit. I broke mine on day 3 of an 11-day cruise. We searched every port we went to with little luck. We finally found a vape shop in Cartagena where I was able to buy one of the cheap mods but it took most of the day so we wasted that port day. Now I bring a backup unit, back battery and plenty of juice.

I'm very picky so I bring what I like.
Rare EngIceDave Posted July 24, 2021 #11 Share Posted July 24, 2021 avoid smelly or super flavored ones. Get as neutral scented as possible. Follow all rules, but the lack of smell doesn't draw attention. Also, don't puff like a choo-choo train, that's just silly
RedIguana Posted July 24, 2021 #12 Share Posted July 24, 2021 Cruise line doesn't care how much juice you bring. I bring a couple 100 ml bottles or 3-4 60's in my computer bag carry on, easily twice what I would ever use just to be safe. I swap my glass tanks out for acrylic, and bring a spare bulb and coils (I always have the spares in my dop kit anyway for land travel). I just use the single battery AIO's anyway, so I usually bring 2 of them. If using a larger mod, grabbing an AIO like a prince stick as a backup not a bad idea. A few lines allow vaping in the cabins, some out there can actually tell the difference between vaping and smoking. I believe princess allows it, CCl does not. One thing I have noticed is that cruise ship cabins can smell a little stuffy sometimes, I have found some wonderful little trees air fresheners in the most relevant scent for cruising...pina colada.
