We are at our gate awaiting our flight home. Our group was called 15 minutes after our meeting time. We quickly found our luggage and showed our passport. Then off to the transfer bus which took a half hour to get to the airport. We are flying United and use TSA precheck so we breezed through. Alaska airlines and regular security was a zoo. Great trip but ready to be home!

Welcome back to AZ! Really appreciate all your reporting during your cruise. 😉

If there is no Crooners..... is there another piano bar on the ship?  Hope so!!!!

So what they were doing with the piano is they have two different piano players and a guitarist and sometimes violin is to play by The wheelhouse bar by Crown Grill which is lovely. And sometimes they'll play the piano and other live music down in the Piazza. The Ocean boulevard who's there band currently on board a lot of time still performing the Vista lounge in the back of the ship as well.

@srpilo Onboard there were 'mask required' signs around the ship - elevators, retail shops, casino, entertainment venues like the Vista Lounge, Princess Live... In practice, masks were worn by some, but not others, walking around the ship, at bars, in the Piazza, and of course when sitting down to eat or drink anywhere, or smoking in the casino.

Thank you so much!  On all my Princess cruises I've really enjoyed sitting in Crooners in the evenings, and there have been some great performers there.  I'll check out the Wheelhouse Bar!  We don't go til next April but it's fun reading the posts and getting excited about cruising again!

Yat! You'll enjoy. I will say after my early dinner I used to sit up by the wheelhouse bar for quite some time it was just so relaxing and enjoyable with the live music.

I only took two quick pics in the casino. Unfortunately, as a nonsmoker, smoking was allowed in the casino, despite the mask policy. Table games and slots on the right were 'nonsmoking'. Slots on the port side were smoking. Two nights, I think the two formal nights, the casino was smoke free.

I think the casino PTB think people won't gamble if they cannot smoke.  They used to say people wouldn't go to bars and restaurants anymore if they couldn't smoke.  Well, that has been debunked.  Also, table games have been changed to no-smoking and they still have business.  Plenty of examples of people come into casino just to smoke and not gamble.  It's time to kill smoking everywhere indoors, except in the closed off Churchill's which has strong ventilation I presume.

That does it!!  No Crooners!!  No Bellini’s!!  Cancel my cruises!!!  😢😢😢

Anyone know if Discovery has Crooners and Bellini’s?

If you want to know what any of the ships have, check out the deck plans on Princess.com or in the MC App.

That's a relatively small area and unfortunately creates a lot of noise for nearby tables in the Crown Grill restaurant area.

It's too bad there isn't a larger area outside the Piazza for this type of music.  I would think VIP Gaming area could be used for this as well.

Unfortunately that VIP gaming room is just sitting there I want to say collecting dust. I mean anyone could go in there to sit and relax if you're looking for a really nice quiet place to sit which I have used multiple times when I was onboard. Otherwise it's a non-functioning lounge bar is not open in there and there's no activities or events that go on in there.

The VIP gaming room was used differently in Australia, with Crooners-type piano entertainment every night. It was very popular.

I'm hoping once the Majestic gets fully back on its feet that they'll start to utilize that room.

Thanks for all the great information; I'll be sailing on 9/5.  Was there any final confirmation on how many passengers were on your sailing? I read in the thread somewhere that it was upwards of 3,000; surprising, since multiple TA's have said they are running lower capacity than that. Did the ship feel crowded?

For the Sept. 26th sailing, we have been told that the VIP room is where our M&G will be. Of course, that is only about one hour out of 7 days.

That’s what I was told for the July 25th sailing as well. However once on board Tina and Ashwin said it had to be moved. They were going to change it to an hour earlier and to a different location. After convincing them no one would come if it was an hour earlier they were able to keep the same time and moved us to Crown.
long story short your roll call should be prepared for a last minute change once on board.
