Received this email today. I knew there would be changes. Thankfully we can still plan on this cruise to go.

New excursions don't seem to be available as yet.

Dear Esteemed Guest,

We are reaching out to you today to let you know that the itinerary of your cruise aboard the beautiful Silver Moon has been amended.

We have been informed by the Greek Maritime Authority that in order to call Greek ports, cruise ships cannot have previously called the country of Turkey.
Thus it has become necessary to remove our calls in Kusadasi on October 24th and Alanya on October 26th.
As a replacement we have scheduled calls in Amorgos and Aghios in Greece.
As a consequence, and in order to accommodate these new calls, our visit to the port of Rhodes has been postponed to October 26th.

Please allow us to refer you to the below revised itinerary for more detailed information:

Looks like we might be doing a lot of tendering.  I hate tendering!!

I don't know how they can predict the future but I do know they will do what's best for us.

I don't mind itinerary changes as long as we sail.

I would not mind and extra day in places like Dubai, Qatar and Bahrain.

Thanks for the update.  I'm on a Shadow cruise in November with a stop in Turkey so expecting an email at any time to delete that port.  I wouldn't mind an extra Greek Isle.

Me wonders what the change may be with later Moon cruise- Dubai to Mumbai. Will we go to India or not- that is the question!!

YES!!  Good questions, including about sailing from Dubai to Mubai.  BUT, first, before getting on the ship in Dubai, the Silver Moon on Nov. 1, mustily sail from Athens, go to Israel, sail down the Suez Canal, spend two days near Luxor, Egypt, then go to Oman, etc.

Lots of stops in varied parts of these challenged parts of the world.  Having done this amazing routing in late 2018, I will follow with interest to see if and how this schedule will play out.  Many future, uncertain issues??!!

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

I just read where India is opening the Taj Mahal to tourism.

Things must be improving there.

Whatever will be will be.

As long as I get my Espresso Martini's and that bowl of Creme Brulee they served on the Muse, they can take me anywhere.

🍸🍲😋

And for everyone that feels the same as you, I have a sneaking suspicion there are just as many who feel the opposite of you, like us.  We book for itinerary relative to cost.  Losing a port for whatever reason is totally understandable (i.e. Myanmar), but removing Singapore or four Indian ports for instance, would materially change the voyage into something that it wasn’t sold as for the price.

I agree Stumblefoot, my Husband John being one. He loves the excursions in different ports.

I however am a lover of the ship itself,  fun and conversation.

Hopefully we will see all we signed up for but I wouldn't count on it.

I just want to be sure we GO!

I miss the ocean and the feel of the ship sailing.

To be frank the idea of being waited on for 48 days just curls my toes.

😎

Within what going in the world today, I think Silversea is doing a pretty good job.

Agree.

I realize you pay for ports when you book a cruise, but safety is way up the list than missing a port.

Correct.  I don't think anyone is debating that point.
