I have what might be a dumb question ( complete newbie here), I went online to book a last-minute excursion last night and a little red tab at the top said “closed”.

are you able to book excursions after you get on the ship, or are you just out of luck if you didn’t book it in advance?

You were right….their popcorn is really good. And Rhonda the owner was so nice to talk to especially since she’s a native of Alaska. We enjoyed visiting with her since there wasn’t anyone else in line. If you like popcorn this a a good place to go in Ketchikan.

You can book them on the ship. You can also make changes to your excursions on the ship. We had 2 booked for today but decided we didn’t want to do our 2nd one this afternoon so we canceled it when we got on the ship.

We just got off the Majestic on August 29th.  If you are looking for a watch on the ship, ask for Camilla in the watch store.  Camilla is very knowledgeable and personable.  When we met Camilla she asked my husband questions about what he was looking for and suggested a product that would meet his needs.  He ended up getting a Citizen Ecodrive with a Sapphire face (my husband is hard on watches and this one will resist scratches.) Camilla kept assuring us that she wanted to make sure we were happy with our purchase and let her know if there were any problems.  Great customer service.

Simply the best.  We never miss an opportunity to purchase popcorn at Orca Corn.

You can book them on the ship IF someone cancels. Usually, when the excursion is "closed" it means that it's sold out. You can request to be put on the wait list. We got on a sold out excursion by getting on the wait list.

We were able to hear the narration in our cabin. There were times when the girl talking took a break for several minutes before continuing with the commentary. We just left it on the bridge channel all morning to catch bits and pieces when we would come back in our canin.

🤭Thanks, but I was asking about the mask, but both pics posted.  The drink looks yummy too, and I will be getting one on our Halloween cruise.  I thought the mask looked perfect for what I had been looking for online. Safe travels home.

OK thank you! Sounds like we better make that one of our first stops to either purchase or get on the waitlist then. I actually think the one we were interested in did not have anyone signed up for it because all of the times that were listed said 20 spots available. So maybe they were just removing it as an option if no one signed up. Either way, I will check into it. It was the Summit van tour in Skagway.

If you are on the cruise next week they will all say closed now. I tried to make a change last week before we sailed and everything said closed. So best to check with shore excursions when you get on the ship.

Photo highlights from today.This next photo makes me sad. It’s a mother bear who lost her 2 cubs recently. They were most likely killed by a male bear. 😢She has a mark on her nose which is a wound. The guide said she most likely was injured trying to save her cubs.

FYI - I think the flowerpots are made of a plastic material. They had them on the Caribbean Princess in 2019 and I was also surprised when I first saw them. I'm was happy to see that @KLM3164 posted the picture, because describing them, just doesn't make sense to anyone who hasn't seen them at the buffet before. I had a good chuckle when I read about them on the Majestic. Especially funny are the comments from people who haven't seen them before! LOL

WHY does this site keep kicking me off?

it won’t let me stay logged in every time I try to login I get two or three pop-ups for cruise advertisements and this is a relatively new iPhone. 
it’s not an old device. 
 

Ketchikan: 

Nice and rainy but I enjoyed it a lot had the most wonderful crêpe at the Alaska Crepe  Company, (strawberry w banana) and then chased the crêpe with some fish and chips at Alaska Fish Company. It was a nice relaxing day. 
bought some nice local handicrafts. 
got back on board and bought some photos but I am unable to digitally download them. 
The instructions were to go to Ocean Concierge  and look for the message, but there is no message,  so I will be paying them a visit at 4 o’clock. Also, there is no 10% discount reflected on my statement, which I thought I was supposed to receive as an elite perk.

The 20 is the default for all excursions until the number of bookings goes below that number
