jjdmom8 Posted September 6, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2021 Odd question I know.. but, here goes... Since the restart to cruising, has anyone ever scheduled a walmart order delivery to the hotel? We are cruising out of Miami in a few weeks. we are flying in this trip instead of driving.. we normally take sodas and wine onboard, which is easy since we normally drive. Thinking of doing a walmart deliver order for our wine and sodas and have it delivered to the hotel after we check in.. Think that is possible? . Tiger0613 Posted September 6, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2021 Add the address of the hotel to the grocery delivery site. It will tell you if delivery is available for that address.
crooooze Posted September 6, 2021 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2021 (edited) Probably best to contact your hotel. Even if it’s possible to get a delivery there, giving them a heads-up will help ensure they keep an eye out for it. sailingships Posted September 7, 2021 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2021 When we fly to a cruise I google the local supermarkets, packet stores that are within a couple of blocks of the hotel then just walk down and get whatever wine etc we want. The pharmacies in Florida are cheaper than other states.
JohninDC Posted September 7, 2021 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2021 CVS and Walgreens are located throughout downtown Miami - you can likely find one close to your hotel to pick up sodas, etc.

Would be very surprised if they charge a fee for registered guests...Heck...we've had packages delivered to our hotel in Shanghai...no charge. Why risk a delivery that could be delayed.

sunneesmile Posted October 15, 2021 #12 Share Posted October 15, 2021 We sail often out of LA (San Pedro) and stay at the Doubletree. For long cruises I always ship some of my toiletries and shampoos, etc to the pre cruise hotel and that way don't pack them in my checked luggage, I have never had to pay a fee for the hotel to accept a package . lowroller Posted October 18, 2021 #14 Share Posted October 18, 2021 Don't forget when you have that type of delivery, you need ID and sign for it. I suggest on your order, add in the notes, to call me when u are on your way and I'll meet you in the lobby.
