Upgrade frenzy happening

So today apparently on quite a few sailings there has been some price drops and upgrades are happening. I just upgraded my sailing from an Oceanview to a balcony for no charge. Others have been getting similar deals and even got price reductions and OBC. Call because you never know if your cruise is on sale or an upgrade is available.

What ship are you scheduled to cruise on?

Isn't it so nice to save so you can spend more on the ship!

I got a crazy casino rate when i booked. It was $160 per for a balcony on our 5 day cruise on the Magic. I dont think i can get any lower lol

Do it! Without thinking! Make a knee jerk reaction! You'll never see a deal like that again!

I called our PVP.. we have a phenomenal casino rate on the Breeze this September that had no current reduction. She also checked our December 4th sailing on the Mardi Gras... turns out the price has gone up quite a bit on that particular date. Didn't hurt o check......

Okay, so I just tried to check out the price drops to see if that includes my cruise. My cruise in on the Panorama, nov 12, 2022. I looked, and wow, the price had dropped. It said $559 a person, oceanview, with 2 in cabin. So then I tried a mock booking and immediately the price for that date was at $750 a person. I tried this several times with same response. Also, if the drop is accurate is there any way to get the price adjusted without waiting for hours on the phone to speak with a representative?

thanks.

Our November cruise is closed to new bookings so no price drop available 😝 but there are some pretty good deals on other cruises too!  Almost (drunk) booked a 6 day on the Breeze (bigger ship than I'd normally prefer - but it was a cove!) but lucky for me the site only gave me a white screen of nothing when I tried to finalize it 😉

I had to wait an hour on the phone to have my room upgraded. I could not change it online myself but the representative was amazing.

We have a price protection rate booked for our 9/25/21 cruise. The current rate is lower.  Is everyone filling out that online form or do we need to call?

Everyone I know that is taking advantage of lower prices has called. The online form might work but I really am not familiar with it.

The form is for early saver rates. Which rate did you book?

I got 2 I cant touch with cheers, cant even upgrade. I looked yesterday and down over $200, the other down more too. Nothing I can do.

3rd one no cheers to protect and put in for at least 6 price drops on the form. I bet they know me by now, as I submit the form every time it drops $20. I'm up to $124.xx obc. Form works perfect but I'm booked early saver rate.

We were able to email our TA and get an OBC. It's not much but it is better than what we started with (which was $0). Had we booked directly through Carnival, we probably could have gotten a little more, but I really like my TA.

We will be on the Carnival Freedom.

We do have the early saver.

But obviously lose that rate if we do the price adjustment.

Are they still giving obc if you have other regular rates codes (non cheers or casino).

If you originally booked early saver, and price match you are still early saver. Price matching doesnt change the code you booked under. Once early saver always early saver.

Only early saver gives price matches after final payment. That is probably why some are upgrading. Can still ask for a upgrade if you booked something else and the price drops to where a higher category matches what you paid.
