Balcony size on the Royal

We are sailing on the Royal in Sept. 2022.  We will have either a balcony or mini suite.

 

Neither of which will be premium or deluxe.  Can anyone suggest a balcony that is larger

 

than the standard ones on the Royal.

The balconies are larger in the curved midship cabins & despite some being categorized as “obstructed” that’s only when looking straight down onto the open Promenade deck. Also some aft facing & forward side cabins (obstructed by solid metal railing) on a couple of decks are larger. Check the deck plans to you see the sizes to locate a balcony that’s larger than the standard 9’x4’ balconies.

If you look at the deck plans, you will be able to determine which are the larger balconies.

For example, compare D724 to D728.

That is comparing a Deluxe Balcony (D724) and a Premium Deluxe Balcony (D728).

Emerald deck 101 thru 110 have large balconies  Obstructed because solid railings not glass  Huge balconies.

Correct. I was merely suggesting a visual way to get a handle on things and go from there.

Go to the Princess Cruises web site. Select On Board Our Ships, then deck plans, and then Royal Princess.

Standard balcony size is 9ft. x 4ft. for most cabins. You will be able to spot cabins with larger balconies and angled balconies as you search each deck. Click on the cabin and it will show the category as well as any differences, such as angled balcony, connecting cabin and so on.
