On my final day and night, I gathered up my belongings and took the bus from Miami Beach over the bridge to the downtown / Brickell neighborhood for another night of gluttony... I really over did it on this day and evening, but it was my final day there... I had to make this one count......

You know what Sid, you have 1 life; so live it to the extent that makes you happy. Remember live for today as tomorrow is not guaranteed.  I definitely plan to do just that, considering another cruise at beginning  of December.

I just got this email from Virgin Voyages... They send me these all the time, even though I'm already booked...

VV is terrible at email marketing--I am booked, have been since 2018 or so, and I get way more generic emails from them than actual useful information for my voyage..

I'll be employing the use of three different types of anti hangover remedies this cruise... As I get older, it's becoming harder and harder to bounce back from a long day of heavy drinking. I guess that I could solve that problem by not heavily drinking, but then again it's my vacation, so... The Rebound patch does a pretty decent job, and helps out a bit. I'll be coupling that with the flyby pills and then some pure DHM pills, which are one of the active ingredients in flyby... You can never have enough help trying to survive some of the adult beverage consumption that I've done in the past...

Just received an email from Virgin Voyages regarding their testing procedure prior to boarding. They're saying to show up one hour prior to your scheduled boarding time to perform the pre sailing rapid corona virus testing. I can already see that this is going to turn into a monumental cluster "you know what"... The earliest boarding time available is 2:00, and much later than the average cruise line boarding time. I have the earliest spot, but I plan on showing up two hours early, as I'm going to have to check out of my hotel anyway, and don't have anywhere else to go... I guess that we'll find out how this all works out a week from today...

Thanks for the info. Nice to see VV still doing port tests though, others have stopped or greatly curtailed and left it up to sailor to get it done..

I'm still trying to get a straight answer as to what they accept for vaccinations - mixed vaccines/Astra Zeneca/prolonged interval between doses. Nothing so far. I guess I have until Feb to find out...by then we will probably all have had 2 booster shots anyways. Lol
