Rare JamieLogical Posted November 16, 2021 Author #77 Share Posted November 16, 2021 So yesterday was pretty much a lost day. I woke up in time to watch us dock at Cozumel and to watch the Adventure of the Seas dock next to us. I didn't make it out of my room until fairly late. Eventually went down to Cafe Al Bacio to drink some water and sit in a comfy chair to read so my room steward would have a chance to clean. I went to the buffet for lunch where I had a weird mix of cheese, Indian food, and pizza. I decided to spend most of the day in my room sleeping, watching TV, and reading. I ordered room service pizza and coffee around 2:00 or 3:00. I ended up hitting up the casino briefly. I drank some ginger ale at the Martini bar. Got a lot of laughs for that. Dinner of more Indian food, some German Sausage and Potato Salad, and some more pizza at the buffet. Pizza really is the best hangover food. I did briefly make it to the Rendezvous Lounge for some live music by the Gemini Duo. That was the second time I heard them and they are very good. I also saw more children there. There was a family with a young girl and boy. Both very young. So I have now seen three total children onboard. Day's Drinks: Moscow Mule, Attempt at Mr. Worldwide #3 (this was the closest yet!)
Rare PTC DAWG Posted November 16, 2021 #78 Share Posted November 16, 2021 (edited) Party on...you need some rebound patches, or the liquid IV powders...or both...I never cruise without them. Been there, done that on the room service breakfast thingy...my Wife did it our last cruise, ordered if for 7 AM...we left the casino around 1:30 AM...we had a laugh about that timing. That said, get back on the horse, it helps. 🙂 Edited November 16, 2021 by PTC DAWG

The real issue was the lack of water, I think.

Yes, water really helps when you are imbibing...not a bad list...you got to 13 if you were correct...you should have started earlier. 🙂

That phot was of the first attempt. The third attempt from last night was the closest so far.
Rare CruiserFromSC Posted November 16, 2021 #93 Share Posted November 16, 2021 Jamie, thank you so much for posting from the Summit. We are scheduled to be on board next Monday, Nov 22. We are in a Sky Suite on deck 6. If you have the opportunity, would you mind checking to see if passengers are staying on deck 6 or is it being used for crew members joining the ship and quarantining for two weeks as it is on other ships? Thank you so much and HYDRATE!! 😃
micruiser2002 Posted November 16, 2021 #94 Share Posted November 16, 2021 Are the outlets in the room by the bed North American format? I do not know why but I put a reminder on my calendar to pack a Euro plug.

I know that near the floor on the right side of the bed (as facing the foot of the bed) there is a US plug, as I am using that for my phone charger. This is in a Sky Suite. There is also a US outlet just above the desk, along with a USB port. Will check the other side of the bed when I get back to my room.

The real issue was the lack of water, I think. Water is key for me as I’ve tried to learn my lesson by drinking water or seltzer for every drink during the day and more so for my love of martinis in the evening. I feel great at the time and then it hits me overnight and boy can it ruin a day for me. I use the two martini rule or three tops then switch to Prosecco and seltzer. Hope you are back to normal tomorrow and feeling much better.

They are close to the floor and behind the nightstands, so might be a bit of a challenge for someone with mobility issues, but I am sure your room steward would help. It's definitely a location where you would want to leave the same thing plugged in the whole sailing, like your phone charger, rather than having unplug and replug something frequently.
