Are you going to try any of the other bars like the fortune teller one or the brass magnolia?

I guess that I need to... Honestly, I haven't spent much time on deck six... I will make it a point to check them out, I just haven't made it yet. Truth is, that I've been in a bit of a "funk" these past several days... I think that I may be "cruised out" if that's a thing... Something is just off with me lately...

That has not gone unnoticed 😔

Trying to figure out if I can eat or drink anything else today... It's not like I'm fighting to retain verticality, but I've consumed quite a bit today... Maybe a slice of pizza... There's a lot of stuff that I still haven't tried at all here on board... I for sure need to get some BBQ, Italian, and Emeril's... I have the Chef's Table tomorrow night, as well as another reservation for Rudi's and the Steakhouse on Friday... I may not be able to fit everything in in one week here...

I get that.  We just got off Mardi Gras and understand your sentiment.  Post covid cruising is different.  We are cutting back on cruising for now.  A BIG change for us.  We have another Mardi Gras cruise in January. Hoping for a home run, which eluded us for the Halloween cruise.  We did enjoy Brass Magnolia.  Fortune Teller drinks were too sweet and they don't allow you to order off the menu.  Hope you hit your stride.  I think it is common on Mardi Gras to have a learning curve.

These last couple years have been weird and stressful and even though we try real hard - it's not "normal" yet.  You aren't the only one in a funk.  I think when we try to do our normal stuff - and it's not quite the same - that funk thing sets in.

It was a long day. So much good food and drinks.

Thank you for sharing it with us, Sid. Feels like we were there.

Life these days can be exhausting. You’re not alone. But at least you are on a ship, at the beach and on the ocean! Maybe try napping on your balcony one day.

Looking forward to more tomorrow. Have a great night 😎

IMHO Carnival’s pizza was always better than NCL’s.

Never saved my Carnival cards, so don’t remember what color they were. Oops.

If I could go back I would try to find more time at those bars. Especially the brass magnolia. I only had two drinks at each. I would also eat a dinner at the P&A I believe they have a steak on their menu I totally forgot to go try.

Probably only minutes away from inserting my earplugs and going to Dreamland for the night... I'm already up later than I have been the entire cruise, but that's not saying much, it's ten minutes after 9:00... I'm stuffed and buzzed, and I think that I gained a few pounds today for sure... Hoping I can salvage what remains of this review and the last few nights on board. I probably haven't even seen a good bit of the ship still at this point. I've definitely only scratched the surface of the food and beverage offerings, but somehow something just doesn't seem right... Absolutely nothing wrong with the ship or the crew or anything like that, it's me... Like I said at the beginning, there are a lot of things I need to fix back home before I can be happy, and I definitely can't do any of that here... I guess that you could call me a "tortured soul", in search of something that may not even be out there.........

I think that my best strategy for getting back online tomorrow is to leave my phone turned on while charging tonight with the volume turned to zero in case of an alert... That way, there's at least continuity of connection... Yeah, that's the ticket...

Felt like this on my Pride 14 day cruise. Had friends with us and played games and had fun but something wasn’t right and came away saying not sure if I will book another for awhile.  One day I went to room at 3pm, read for a few minutes and my husband woke me up at 8:30pm.  Said oh well staying in bed until morning.
We spend so much time planning and put pressure on ourselves to do it all, drink it all, see it all and eat it all and it becomes overwhelming and we forget this is our vacation and we are allowed to just chill, sit on the balcony with a cup of coffee or cocktail and just gaze at the blue water and do absolutely nothing,

Go at your own pace and don’t feel like you have to do everything on the ship… otherwise it turns into work… go with what you want to do and if that’s nothing then do nothing.  I tried to do everything on my first cruise and boy was that a mistake for me.  Now I just browse through the planner and whatever pops into my head the next day that’s what’s on the agenda… well after food and drinks!  Enjoy yourself on the cruise.  Loving all the pictures and reviews!!!

I just caught up from the very beginning and I am so enjoying and appreciating your "Live from."  However, I would enjoy it just as much, probably more, if you were going easy on yourself, not pressuring yourself so much that you miss out on the fun of your vacation.

A few years ago I took a theme cruise from Barcelona to Venice in August when it was way too hot for me.  It was a theme cruise, and the theme was the attraction, not the itinerary, so I did not even get off the ship until I had to - in Venice!  I had a great time staying inside in the A/C, or by the pool, or visiting with cruise friends on board, and I will go back and see more of Italy at some cooler time than August.

Relax and cut yourself some slack!  That may help you get your groove back!

It's been a blue card fest here at Alchemy for a while... To my left and to the right... Blue, blue, blue... Not that there's anything wrong with it... You've gotta start somewhere...

True, but there should be a red card minimum at the Alchemy.  Blue cards should have to pay their dues and work their way up the bar ladder until they earn a seat at Alchemy. 😉
