Unclear whether that's just PR to cover low bookings on some cruises or reality.

Our Constellation 'restart' B2B (5 + 10) was interesting.

The first leg (5) on 11/7/21 was already over 70% of double occupancy capacity (CD said 1550 at one point), though the second (10) on 11/12/21 was closer to 40%.

So I'm unsure whether it's  Celebrity that is controlling this or the cruising public and their willingness to book.

He did say that inside staterooms and deck six were not available for booking.

He did mention that they were noticing that a lot of rooms are being blocked only to be released later.

Hi Earl,

Did you see a significant improvement in service when you went to 40% on the second leg?

Not really.  The service started out as perfection, and ended that way as well.  Then again, suites were sold out for each cruise, so in some of the specific venues we were using, there really wouldn't have been any difference.   There was a much larger bar crowd in general, % of capacity notwithstanding, for the 5 nt cruise, as one would expect, but never a problem getting service anywhere.  For both legs, it was the finest service we've ever had on an X cruise.

The Captain just reported one individual has been confirmed to have COVID and has been isolated and contract tracing has been completed.  The individual apparent self reported himself as not feeling well and therefore was tested.

The person will be disembarked and flown home from Saint Martin day after tomorrow.

I think the yellow is because we have crew in quarantine on this sailing. We were in the casino last night when the captain came on, I looked at my husband and said “Covid”. There would really be no other reason for the captain to be announcing anything at that time unless an emergency. I was shocked that it was only day 2 and already a positive case. Nobody was alarmed and went on as if nothing happened. He also said that guests that were in contact with him have been contacted. He will go off of the ship tomorrow in St Thomas. Hope he is well and hope that it’s the only case this week.

I agree 100% with @Purplsmurf .. we were having a nightcap in Michael’s Club when the announcement was made.

On our last cruise I believe it was day 3 when the one individual was reported as having COVID.  What this tells me is the rapid antigen test are not 100% accurate, but we already knew that.

The required 14 day crew quarantine doesn't count.  That's not in the CDC rating process.  As proof, lots of ships sailing in green with new quarantined crew.

Now if quarantined due to a positive test, then yes.

Which is the case?

On the Dec 4 sailing there were 62 crew in quarantine, none ill.  They were just preparing for duty.  We watched their lunches being boxed during the galley tour.

Not sure then. That was my understanding. Doesn’t make sense why it would  be yellow then. It was yellow the day we sailed. We didn’t have any cases then and even so, one positive case wouldn’t make the ship yellow, but likely orange 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think Celebrity has been very transparent & done a fine job dealing with the few positive cases.

DaKahuna, thanks so much for taking us along on your B2B. DH & I were on the Nov 27th sailing & are still having Reflection withdrawal!

May I ask a favor- if you are around the Passport Bar. Please say hello to Ali from Tom & Paula. We miss him! Sent him a photo through the Celebrity Engagement Center ( hope they get it to him) & some well deserved comments on the survey. Hope Celebrity shares  the comments with the crew - they work so very hard & are providing amazing service & show such appreciation.

Hope the officers & crew came through the Grand Foyer on your sailing last week! What a touching experience.

Enjoy every moment of your cruise & thanks again!

Excited to follow along with you. Thank you for your updates and pictures. We are counting the hours now for the 12/18 sailing.

Would you be willing to see if you can find out the number of passengers for the next sailing?

If you are able to inquire on the next sailing can i trouble you to inquire at the same time for the Jan.19th sail....only if you are asking already.  I am enjoying following your posts.  Have you noticed if Tiffany's is still across from the World Class Bar - it's not showing online anymore?

I spoke with the Hotel Director the other night. He is the one that told me there are 902 for this sailing. He said that the next will be much higher since it is a holiday sailing and as the new year starts it will be going up even more. For some reason 2000 rings a bell, but I’m not sure if he meant those numbers for the holiday sailing or what they will be after the first of the year. I will ask him again if I see him

My experience is that the comments are shared with the crew.  As you may recall, I submitted comments twice during the last cruise and also post cruise.  Not only have crew members thanked me but the Cruise Director also expressed his thanks.  The Captain also mentioned knowing what a wonderful cruise we were having based on our comments.

I am planning to write up comments again tonight where I will call our specific crew members. I love being able to give near instant feedback on positive experiences through the online forms.

have not been to the Passport Bar but will stop there on the wsy to Luminae for dinner and if Ali is there will extend your well wishes.
