Symphony 12/23 Sailing Boarding Changes

Recommended Posts

Just received this email…. boarding is certain to be chaotic as a result.

Dear Guest,

We are excited to welcome you for our sailing tomorrow onboard Symphony of the Seas! Before you head to the terminal we have some important information to share with you.

In order to maintain your health and safety, prior to boarding Symphony of the Seas, we will be conducting additional precautionary sanitization onboard. As a result, our check-in window at the pier will begin a little later than originally planned. We kindly ask that you please arrive two hours later than your originally selected arrival window. Sticking to your new arrival time is important to have the best boarding day experience. Arriving at your originally selected arrival time will result in you being turned away until your new time.

If you have not completed online check-in already, please complete it as soon as possible via the Royal Caribbean App or online at www.RoyalCaribbean.com/booked. All guests should be checked-in and onboard by 5:00 PM. If you’re traveling with unvaccinated children in your party, please arrive before 4:00 PM.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We can’t wait to welcome you onboard Symphony of the Seas!

Sincerely,

Aurora Yera-Rodriguez

Be careful.  Someone posted on FB that they followed the 2 hour delayed arrival (can't remember which ship) and when they got there, the doors to the terminal were closed and they missed the ship.  It also said 5 pm and they arrived at 430.  I can't find the post now because I can't remember which page it was on.

This is the same notice that was sent last week to people on the current Symphony sailing (people that boarded last Saturday). So, there has been some experience with the delayed arrival.

Didn’t know that. Thanks for the head’s up.

Got off Symphony today and posted some observations about our experience in a separate post but the post has been deleted.  Just mentioned what seemed like a reduction in onboard activities and being told by some crew members it was because they were short staffed.  Is that subject taboo?

No one knows anymore what is and isn't allowed. It's very random and you'll never be told.

Anything not rah rah for Royal Caribbean is taboo. No matter fact or fiction.

I’m onboard now and I can tell you that it is a dramatically reduced schedule of activities. As for shows — there are no AquaTheater or production shows all week. Really disappointing. They haven’t acknowledged it at all — they’re just not on the schedule.
