Looks like a fun experience, but maybe not our favorite meal. We were debating, as well. But if you have your server do what ours did, you will probably be happy with just once. Rare rimmit Posted January 11, 2022 #128 Share Posted January 11, 2022 Thanks for taking the time to do the blog! Quick question for you. Currently debating changing some travel plans we have currently have booked and evaluating some different options. Do you have any info on how Adventure Ocean is running right now? Time limits? Restrictions? If not would you mind getting one of the kids club dailies or asking the staff what the current restrictions are? If not I totally understand, but it would help us immensely as we evaluate our current travel options.

PiperHolliday Posted January 11, 2022 Author #133 Share Posted January 11, 2022 The ship continued rocking and rolling until around 1AM but since then, it's felt pretty nice and smooth. Slow rocking here and there. We were greeted again this morning by announcements encouraging us to get ripped off by the scam art auction and overpriced jewelry. Because they rearranged the order of our port stops after removing St Kitts, I had to contact our driver for Antigua to notify him of the change. We are using Lawrence of Antigua and he was very quick to reply, readjust and reconfirm. I'm looking forward to exploring a few of Antigua's 365 beaches. We're also on a ship excursion to snorkel with turtles in Barbados and it appears that was automatically moved, but it still starts at the same time...which is now before we dock. I'll have to go double check on that. It's not sunny and tropical yet but it's warmed up nicely and our balcony is now a prime hangout location!
southeastsun Posted January 11, 2022 #134 Share Posted January 11, 2022 Piper, would you please advise if the library has books or empty shelves. The library used to be in 270 upstairs at the far corner, and are the computers still around the corner? thanks

PiperHolliday Posted January 11, 2022 Author #136 Share Posted January 11, 2022 The captain just announced that we will be staying in St Maarten until 10PM! I'm very happy with this news, as it gives us time to have a great French dinner on the island after a day of plane-spotting and beaches.

It isn’t French food but it is a great option. Are you going to stand on the beach under the planes while they land? Pics would be great.

DaniDanielle Posted January 11, 2022 #140 Share Posted January 11, 2022 Have they added anything to keep people busy with so many sea days? I hope it isn’t the same old sales of the same old stuff!!
Leslie K Posted January 11, 2022 #141 Share Posted January 11, 2022 I’ve been to Wonderland a few times, each time during a different trip, and there’s always something different. There were a few things different from my last visit on Anthem 2 years ago. Thanks for your pictures which was a trip down memory lane. Hope to be back aboard some day.
PiperHolliday Posted January 11, 2022 Author #142 Share Posted January 11, 2022 We had lunch again in the MDR. Service was attentive and they kept my mimosas coming. Some hair of the dog, after drinking until 3AM. Heirloom Tomato and Goat Cheese Salad. Shrimp Risotto. Spinach and Gorgonzola Gnocchi. This was good. Steak Frites. This was really, really bad. Do not order this. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came nearly well done. It was very fatty and chewy. The bernaise was watery and not creamy. After chewing for a couple of minutes on one bite, I just couldn't take it. I had to send it back. I ordered the Royal Chicken Sandwich to replace it, which is listed as Cajun-seasoned. It had no seasoning at all. Not even salt, it seemed. It was dry. It was slightly less than mediocre. Don't order that, either.

toad455 Posted January 11, 2022 #146 Share Posted January 11, 2022 (edited) Got my free Wi-Fi going today. This cruise has been fantastic so far. Was expecting St. Kitts to get cancelled and am happy about our extension in St. Maarten now. Crew is wonderful, no lines for anything, plenty of chairs by the pool, crew enforcing masks.
