Cause believe me, drunk trivia is quite entertaining. 😂😂 I pretty much only drink on cruises and I love Cheers. Prior to the program being available, I might have had a few cosmetic bottles that had suspicious contents in them. 2

I did this last time I had Cheers. Mostly at Redfrog, Serenity, Atrium, and Sports Bar. The pours were all so pathetic. There was also little convenience in the frequency of having to refill this piddly pour. I'm also not spending extra in tips in the hopes of getting more. This is one reason why I buy the bottles now. My pour in my wine glass or tumbler is much better, and cheaper.

Bubba Mug or similar will last for 2-3 hours USUALLY😂
changoborracho Posted January 21, 2022 #56 Share Posted January 21, 2022 Another option is to buy the drink coupons online ahead of time. Depending on how far out your cruise is, you could build a nice little stash of drink tickets. It still costs the same, but you can spread the damage out over time 🤪

Fish bowls, pitchers and beer for half price. We were allowed to buy as many as we wanted and take back to our cabin. Which is bigger? Pitcher or fishbowl? SO, I guess not actual coupons. Cruise Cash Bar provides an immediate credit to a guest's Sail & Sign account which can be applied toward any bar purchases. This credit is good for any bar charge made to their account including alcoholic drinks, juice, soda, water, and coffee shop charges. Cruise Cash Bar is valid for a single voyage and cannot be transferred to future bookings. Cruise Cash Bar is non-refundable and any unused credits will be forfeited. I am more than familliar with Cruise Cash in all of its forms, but your terminology may have been confusing to others. You don't get drink coupons (although they did that years and years ago). It's a credit to your S&S that can only be spent for bar charges.
cruisin from florida Posted January 21, 2022 #62 Share Posted January 21, 2022 We're going to bring wine on board, and order a bottle of scotch for the room. We will be drinking for free in the casino (still not sure why I got the offer.. I am NOT a high roller!) so I think that will take care of our needs. Some in the comedy club said the Punchliner was super strong. She drinks 1 or 2 a day and that's about it but would get the package if just she could get it. I don't drink so there is no sense in us getting Cheers for the cabin. We usually sail Celebrity and just 1 person in the cabin could get the package. Now, I think they are kind of all inclusive (and you pay for it). If you only get one or two drinks a day, it's not worth it.

Too good to pass up). If we didn't have the DOU, we'd probably do Cheers, but I think we'll be fine with a some wine and a bottle of Dewars. I am retaliating by not purchasing Bubbles. I’m now looking at probably spending way more than I would if I had Cheers. Best drinks to maximize my buzz on the ship? Do I stick with the teas? Also, am I gonna feel a Blue Iguana margarita happy buzz the same way I’d feel it at a local Mexican restaurant? I am bringing my bottle of wine. We found that the pitchers at the Red Frog pub were a pretty good value. We got 4 good drinks out of them for about $23 including the gratuity. Also, if you want to get happy on embarkation day, the RFP usually offers their fishbowls half price, but that usually ends before you sail. Good luck!
ray98 Posted January 22, 2022 #69 Share Posted January 22, 2022 I would say the best bang is the simple drinks, either on the rocks or with one mixer. The drinks with multiple parts always seem to be drowned out by sugar in the end. However, if you really like to drink absolutely nothing will compare to Cheers. If budget was key I would probably just pick a strong beer and stick with it.

simplelife Posted January 26, 2022 #73 Share Posted January 26, 2022 Get bubbles (You can get it whether your roommate does or not.) Purchase liquor by the shot to mix with your bubbles or (buy a bottle, if you do not mind running back and forth to your cabin - or you could pack a travel flask to put it in) - that way you will know they are not skimping on the alcohol) Did you know that you can purchase doubles for just $3 more?( that's what I do with my G & Ts). You can't do that on Cheers because doubles count as 2 drinks. If your roommate does not drink wine, have then put a bottle for you in their carry-on too. travelplus Posted January 27, 2022 #74 Share Posted January 27, 2022 (edited) In Mexico all of my Shore Excursions includes alcohol. I drink off land. Now that was not the reason for selecting the tour but it was an added benefit. In Puerto Vallarta my morning tour is to a Hacienda with cooking class, tequilla pairing, wine and beer. In the evening the Rhythms Of The Night includes drinks on boat and at the dinner. In Mazatlan they serve beer with lunch. In Cabo the All Inclusive Luxury Yacht includes Domedtic Open Bar. So for $400 on tours I get drinks. I also booked the Chefs Table with Wine and booked the Steakhouse with wine too. On the cruise on Sea Days I may get some mixed drinks but I prefer getting it off ship in port. So Cheers would be around $400 I would much rather drink the local drinks ,take a tour and enjoy a sailboat excursion. Maybe that's not what everyone wants. (I also believe not everyone wants to pound cocktails all day). It's good to know and worked well for me.
