Favorite MDR dish (excluding lobster and prime rib)

Yep still bored at work...lol....

 

What is your favorite MDR dish (app/main/side/dessert etc) other than to obvious "go to" of Lobster / prime rib?  I am wanting to try a few new things this next trip....

 

PS...what happened to the dessert options in the MDR....I mean I do like me some chocolate melting cake but don't want to eat it nightly.....

The first that comes to mind for me is the brisket.  But I know others will recommend things and I'll think 'Yeah, I like that too!'

I am a fan of both the brisket and the short ribs.

I make sure I go on the nights they have grand marnier souffle and bitter & blanc as dessert options. If I do eat somewhere else I just go to the MDR for dessert later.

I love the carbonnara.  It's the real deal, not just bacon and peas added to alfredo.

Same. This is always my go-to if there is nothing else on the menu that stands out to me. It's also what I almost always get on the first night. I suppose because nothing on that first day menu really seems all that great. The Indian vegetarian is always tasty and a good way to start out the cruise.

Another vote for the Indian vegetarian from a non-vegetarian.  

I also like any of their dishes with root vegetables--way better than the parsnips my Mom made me eat as a child.🤢

I'm a fan of the crab cakes in the main dining room.  I am not a fan of the seafood shack's though.  Kinda strange.

I used to always go with the 'local taste' offerings, especially on longer/specialty cruises. Always the best. And yes--prime rib is always good, and the lobster is always not 🙂

Sweet and Sour Shrimp on the first might is always my favorite.  But I think it is because I am finally on the ship, all the travel stress is done, the muster drill is done (old way) so I am finally on vacaion and I've had a few drinks.

Escargot. Any seafood pretty much. I’m a weirdo who thinks the chocolate melting cake is very gross lol. I usually do ice cream or a banana split . On all cruise lines the dessert never sounds good but the ice cream is yummy lol.

you dont like eating just undercooked cake batter? I'm right with you! I do like the escargot too. Shortribs are usually a crowd pleaser too.

Another vote for the escargot!  I also enjoy the lamb chops when they are on the menu.

All time favorite is beef wellington...love the shrimp cocktail, and melting cake with a scoop of peanut butter and an extra scoop of vanilla.

Short ribs.  Escargot.  And the only dessert I eat:  Baked Alaska

Although I do like the Bitter and Blanc too!
