mets123 Posted January 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2022 I got no responses for Florida departure board so I'm asking here to a larger audience. In March I'm taking the Anthem on the 7 day Bahamas/Florida run. In Port Canaveral, I'd like to take a shuttle and/or tour to the Cocoa Beach Pier. Does anyone know of a company that provides that service or a way to do it? Thanks in advance for your help.
Coralc Posted January 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2022 You can just take a cab or Uber/Lyft. It is not that far away from the port. There is a Tiki Bar at the end of the pier. There is not that much there to tour.
Norwich Cruiser Posted January 22, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2022 No need for a tour just take a Uber or Lyft
archer_310 Posted January 22, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2022 (edited) I was there in October. I wouldn't waste my time - there's nothing really there to see. Edited January 22, 2022 by archer_310
Havin'fun Posted January 22, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2022 Used Uber when I was there in December, the pier is very close to most hotels
Rare John&LaLa Posted January 22, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 22, 2022 (edited) Cool Kids reserve the Tiki Trolley golf cart limo😉 No idea on availability in the afternoons 321-306-9871 Personally, I'd go to the Space Center😉 Edited January 22, 2022 by John&LaLa
Montanagirlalways Posted January 22, 2022 #7 Share Posted January 22, 2022 If u go to the pier there are other places to walk to from there if you are up to walking. RonJons isn't far. Or consider an uber/lyft to Cocoa Village. Its on the river. Lots of shops and many places to eat and drink

mrg0433 Posted January 23, 2022 #9 Share Posted January 23, 2022 (edited) Jump in one of the car rental vans like Alamo. Their offices r on A1A. Consider you may have taken the wrong van. Hertz is closest to the cruiseport. We usually rent a car from them during r vacation so I consider free ride part of my guest relations perks. You can take the trolley up and down A1A. You can even walk to beach from A1A Print out a street map. We booked the “Cocoa Beach Express Shuttle” from the Hampton Inn near Ron Jon’s for only $7. If you you feel like walking, you can take public transportation from the main road A1A. Google Brevard County Bus transportation or call any hotel and they can give you info. Bummer cuz that sounded like it might be a good idea for a bar crawl/brewery tour... though hard to tell if they'd pick up/drop us off on Merritt Island. Coralc Posted January 23, 2022 #16 Share Posted January 23, 2022 It is 8 miles. And sorry. I was thinking more of Dixie Crossroads, which is Titusville, not Merritt Island. Californian here. My bad. I was thinking about shrimp, and dinner tomorrow night.

They started out doing free rides around the Cove over to Jetty Park. Not sure how viable their business plan is. The problem with Merrit Island is the causeway bridges. Not golf cart friendly at all

heatherb1958 Posted January 23, 2022 #20 Share Posted January 23, 2022 When we docked at Port Canaveral as a Port of call a girlfriend and I took the local bus to the beach and Ron Jon’s , think it was 1 Dollar each or at least not much more . A lot of the cruise passengers did the same , it stopped on the main road outside the port .

mrg0433 Posted January 24, 2022 #22 Share Posted January 24, 2022 Cocoa Beach has wonderful sand dunes and beaches. We stayed at a timeshare there a year ago Feb 6 for a week and swam every day. Great fun riding the waves if you pack floats in your suitcase.
