ChrisNY2 Posted January 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2022 I cancelled my Royal Caribbean cruise earlier this month and was told I would get a refund. I haven't seen it yet hit my credit card. Does anyone have a sense of how long refunds are taking these days?

ChrisNY2 Posted January 30, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted January 30, 2022 Just an update: cancelled on January 14th and the refund showed up on my American Express on January 27th. Not bad!
Rare jean87510 Posted January 30, 2022 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2022 just out of curiosity did any of you with the quick refunds have FCC? We cancelled our February grandeur cruise 1/3 and we had used FCC as part of the payment. We never had final payment. We also opted to not continue with the FCC and just get money back. Still nothing yet.
GJustice Posted January 30, 2022 #9 Share Posted January 30, 2022 Cancelled 1/17/22 cruise on 1/11 and the credits hit my credit card yesterday. No FCCs yet, but those always take a while and I usually have to call and have them "find" them for me. "Automatic" emails seem to never come. jshli Posted January 30, 2022 #10 Share Posted January 30, 2022 I cancelled a cruise on Jan. 20th and the credits for the deposit as well as the items in my Cruise Planner, were credited on my credit card on Jan. 24th. Needless to say, I was very pleasantly shocked.
Big_G Posted January 30, 2022 #11 Share Posted January 30, 2022 Cancelled a Royal and a Celebrity cruise back in November. We received the cash and certificates within 2 weeks. My only advice is to keep an eye on your junk mail folders.
TwinMamainMN Posted January 30, 2022 #12 Share Posted January 30, 2022 Royal cancelled our 2-25-22 Vision cruise on 1-7-22. We were supposed to get FCC refund as that is how we booked/paid, but today (1-30-22), I noticed 2 separate deposits in our bank account. Quickly contacted our TA to sort this out. Royal refunded us in cash but should have done it as FCC, and still owes us another deposit to make the total refund equal the original FCC amount. It's a bit of a mess, but I'm grateful for a TA that can sit on the phone with RCCL to get it sorted out, instead of having to do it myself. Still nothing yet. those do take longer. I cancelled cruises back in Sept - Oct 2021 and I would say those took a while. In fact, once after calling to cancel, if the auto FCC email do not come out with 6 weeks, then they are in a que and DO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE to resolve. My last 5 FCC took over 75 days but they are all resolved.
