esjas12 Posted February 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2022 Hi... in June we'll be flying into Vancouver for a few days and I've registered on the Canadian Government site for their eTA. We then join Cunard Queen Elizabeth, out of Vancouver for a 10 day cruise to Alaska. Do you think I need to request an US ETSA for our port visits to Juneau, Ketchikan, etc.? Thank you for any help. esjas12 Posted February 18, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted February 18, 2022 Hi and thank you for the prompt reply. I assume the cruise line check this on embarkation. Our last Alaska cruise was out of Seward, via Seattle and Anchorage, terminating in Vancouver. This was well over 10 years ago and I've absolutely no memory of what we needed to do. hallasm Posted February 18, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2022 You’ll need a valid passport (valid at least 6 months from the departure date from the U.S.), and an ESTA

That's very true! Also worth noting that ESTAs only last 2 years - or until your passport expires. So its not a great idea to do it too far in advance.
