danmanca Posted February 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2022 Looking at two 3-night cruises down to Ensenada. The two options are the Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas and the Carnival Radiance. It will be myself and my girlfriend both in our mid 30s (no kids). Which does everyone thing is a better choice? Pricing is about the same for either.

danmanca Posted February 23, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted February 23, 2022 So sounds like everyone recommending the Navigator? Think i may go with that one. @CarelessAndConfusedanything nice about the Radiance? The food options looked like they may be better? The chicken and BBQ restaurants they had on board looked really good
Aquahound Posted February 23, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2022 This one wouldn't even be a debate in my mind. Navigator by a nautical mile!
Pudgesmom Posted February 24, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2022 Ask this question on the Carnival and the RCCL boards. You’ll get lots more information, but be prepared for strong brand loyalty!
tensixmom Posted March 5, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2022 I haven't been on either yet, but I am booked on Navigator in mid-May and Radiance in early August (identical itineraries for both). Hope you come back and tell us for sure which you chose!
firefly333 Posted March 6, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 6, 2022 On 2/23/2022 at 1:10 PM, CarelessAndConfused said: The food was actually pretty good. But I have pedestrian tastes. The salad bar was always reasonably well stocked with nice looking vegetables. Unlike the Panorama in October that had wilted vegetables and sparse offerings. The chicken was awesome. I probably went by Shaq's place like two and a half times per day. They weren't all full meals but still, I probably over did it. The BBQ place is nice and tasty even if a bit basic. Guy's burgers is fine enough if you want a burger. So the food items that you ask about, I have a positive reaction toward. On another matter, my guess is that many places will feel more cramped on the Radiance vs. Navigator (assuming the same approximate % occupancy). I didnt realize shaqs place was on radiance. I'd only heard it was on mardi gras so far. Heard the chicken sandwiches were good. I did 3 carnival since covid and decided dinners were not good. Cuts were obvious and switched for now to rcl. cruiseaholic777 Posted March 6, 2022 #9 Share Posted March 6, 2022 I agree the Navigator is a much better cruise ship. It is an easy choice. Have a great cruise.
navybankerteacher Posted March 7, 2022 #10 Share Posted March 7, 2022 I’ve sailed Navigator (and a few other RCL) ships - and one Carnival ship (several years ago). I think Navigator would be the clear choice.
