When will countries drop the Covid testing and mandates?

Just a non scientific poll on when people think we will be free to travel again without all the testing masking , etc.  personally I am hoping for June or July of this year, but sadly my crystal ball is still kind of cloudy.

It seems to be happening piecemeal. Some European countries have already dropped the pre-arrival testing requirements altogether. France has, for example:

Now as to when our own CDC drops the testing requirement before coming home... I have no idea. If they are anything like the other government agency that I work for - it will take decades.

I would still hope the cruise lines continue to require testing, vaccination and possibly masking for a few more months even as governments back-off.  There’s now an Omicron variant  - BA.2 that just doubled in the US, has taken over as the prevalent strain in multiple countries and has caused a surge in Denmark.  Sounds so familiar unfortunately.  We can hope it all ends soon but that doesn’t mean it should end.
