If you go to your summary page, there should be a red box at the very top that says Update Health & Travel Advisory. Click on that and it will tell you what's required for your sailing. cmh Posted March 12, 2022 #27 Share Posted March 12, 2022 COVID-19 Testing Requirements Sailings from the United States2: We will also require ALL fully vaccinated guests to produce a negative, medically-observed COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within two days of their embarkation on all Princess sailings. You'll be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival in the terminal to board. My April 11th cruise from SF still shows 2 days. Maybe they will change it in April. One can hope.
Willwils Posted June 1, 2022 #28 Share Posted June 1, 2022 My wife saw on FB Princess site that as of today MASKS ARE REQUIRED on certain Princess ships. There they posted signs even at drinking areas. There your asked to "sip & cover". Anyone else know of this?

I estimated 1-2% masking last week. And then of course Covid cases after the cruise, DH included.

I think we will start seeing many more cases on board as well. Unmask at your own risk.
Willwils Posted June 1, 2022 #31 Share Posted June 1, 2022 I would want all masking, but only works if rules enforced. Princess rules say they can force you off ship at next stop & ban you from future Princess Cruises. The proper way is for Princess to post new mask rules on their web & send email to all booked. But who am I to tell Princess,

Most people just ignored their request and went on about living live without one. Wear one if you like .....or not.
Peachestravels Posted June 2, 2022 #35 Share Posted June 2, 2022 Its everyone's own decision whether or not to wear a mask. They are going to start making it mandatory again if the outbreak increases. I know at work it is mandatory again because COVID is climbing once more. But take in consideration that we are starting to have this outbreak again and if we all choose not to wear mask they will start canceling cruises once more and we will stuck at home again. I know wearing mask are bothersome, but I personally would rather wear a mask for a little while until I return to my suite, then lose a chance at cruising again. May we all be safe and COVID free.

You are not stuck at home again. We have been taking wonderful, fun land based vacations. No masks, no tests and no threat of quarantine in a room you don't want to be in. Until these protocols go away cruising is just not an attractive vacation option for me.

We have been taking all sorts of land based vacations...don't have to worry about failing a test and sending the vacation in disarray. In fact, leaving in 27 days for two weeks in Alaska. Been to Florida numerous times...and MS coast over Easter week. We have a 10 day cruise scheduled for January of 2023, but if they start this mask requirement back up, we will cancel and spend our money elsewhere. The numbers may be going up but at least in SC the deaths are non-existent and hospitalizations are pretty low compared to the past. The virus will never go away...just continue to get weaker so "catching it" is a given. We live with it just like any other virus you may catch!
Rare azbirdmom Posted June 2, 2022 Author #39 Share Posted June 2, 2022 We are onboard the Caribbean and are among the handful of people who have remained masked. We have been thanked by some crew members for masking. Everyone is within their rights to cruise mask-free but for us it’s not that big of a deal to keep our’s on.

We mask in elevators, public restrooms and when walking from place to place. We unmask once we are seated at the restaurant or bar or slot machine. We have been cruising and having a ball and have not tested positive once Good to know the virus doesn't exist in the dining room, bars, or casino! Thanks! 2

If you want to be 100% safe then you will have to live in a bunker and not interact with anyone. At home we mask in crowded conditions and do not mask when it is not crowded. COVID will be here forever. Get vaccinated get boosted and test before and after traveling. That is about as safe as you can be and still live a life. My 98 year old mother lives in a memory care facility and she has tested positive. This can happen anywhere at anytime
memoak Posted June 4, 2022 #42 Share Posted June 4, 2022 As of today all 7 day north and south cruises between Vancouver and Whittier require indoor masking except when eating or drinking. Letter to current passengers says they may be disembarked for failure to comply. Maybe my August b2b cruises will be empty if all the anti maskers cancel

As far as I know masks were recommended not required. At least that was how it was in April. Everyone masked getting on and off the ship and other areas people did as they felt best. If the are now requiring with a threat of being thrown off the ship then I am betting things will be different. I have dealt with Princess security and they can be very serious

Such crew members are unlikely to enforce policies due to the possibility of generating a complaint that could affect their jobs.
