Hopped on a quick Carnival cruise out of Mobile and thought it interesting their dining rooms were named Wind Star and Wind Song. Fascinated to discover ships models of both ships hence the names of the dining rooms! Anyone know the story? I’ll have to ask someone on board.

Was on Windsong in 1991 in Tahiti. In 2002 it caught fire and burned nearly down to the waterline. If I remember right it hung around Papeete for a bit. Then Carnival Corp and the FP government agreed to scuttle it, then sink in the channel between Tahiti and Moorea to become an artificial reef. Sad ending to a gorgeous ship, but one can enjoy it's twin Wind Spirit in Tahiti.
