Can Someone Post A Checklist To Have A Great Cruise?

Recommended Posts

Prefer in order on what one must do starting AFTER I have made final payment.

For example...

45 days out check-in on app

2 days out get Covid test

Once on board make show reservations..

Stuff like that.

We haven't cruised in 9 years and never on Royal and I feel like I'm going to forget something I'll regret.

Maybe this will help. No show reservations needed unless you're on one of the bigger ships that (I think) requires it. I personally like having excursions pre-booked before the cruise, having little interest waiting in line at the shore excursion desk to buy tickets. If still in a covid environment, it's a good idea to divide up certain items (like medications maybe) in the event that either of you would be quarantined.

I have a list I work from in a spreadsheet.  The first tab has my pre-cruise check list.  Other tabs for packing list, day trips, ...

I intentionally don't over plan what I am going to do from day to day,  beyond excursions (or port day onboard).  I will usually use a highlighter and go through the next day's activities that I am considering when I get the daily newsletter onboard.

I appreciate you doing this.  I have a list here and a list there but nothing like this.  Thanks!

Here's my cruise checklist:

RELAX

And don't sweat the small stuff.  And it's all small stuff.

All you NEED to have with you ID and a credit card.  You are not going to the moon, you can buy anything you need.  There is a Walmart at almost every port. 😄
