Rare songbird1329 Posted May 12, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2022 We’re booked on the Constellation in December. It’s our first post COVID cruise and our first cruise on X. We prefer the cruise lines own shore excursions. When we booked this cruise last year we didn’t see a lot of shore excursions listed for each port. We thought They’d add more excursions as the date of the cruise got closer. well, that hasn’t happened yet. And some of the excursions we planned to book are no longer listed. any ideas about what’s happening here? Will they add more excursions? When? canderson Posted May 12, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2022 Way too soon to be seeing most of the excursions for a December cruise. Don't sweat it. When we cruised Connie in Nov, a lot of the providers weren't really able to handle any capacity yet due to short staffing, etc., so a number were cancelled, including 2 we had booked. I doubt X is going to publish very many this early since the shorex situation has been so fluid, and will wait until 60-90 days out to really populate the list. Rare Jim_Iain Posted May 12, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2022 On our recent European Cruise they didn't add any excursions but did have a wait list for for customer cancelled excursions. They did add 2 B2B excursions on our TA and 1 on the Spain Portugal. Both had lost of B2B's
broadwaybaby123 Posted May 12, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2022 I asked the same from my last cruise on Royal. Apparently there's contract negotiations going on.
Rare songbird1329 Posted May 16, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted May 16, 2022 Thanks. Now can someone please help me explain this to my panicked boyfriend who thinks we won’t have any shore excursions?

Tell him there are always independent excursions, most often less expensive and better than the ship excursions. You should check the Roll Call and see what others on your cruise are doing or what private tours they have done in the past and could recommend.
