I agree. Service has been top shelf.
We love this ship and even though it is a completely new crew from previous pre COVID-19 sailings. They are the best !!!!

I thought the same of the crew in January and April. I have nothing but good feelings toward Allure. I wish she was not going to be moving to Galveston.

Some random thoughts.

very few children/kids/pre adults on this sailing

food has been good MDR:IZUMI/CK

drinks seem to have adequate measured or free pour in some bars.

Amber theatre shows EXCELLENT

air conditioner in CLS  keeping us comfy

cabin attendant doing great job  towel animals every day

again the WIFI BAD.

getting smoked out in casino. BAD. Even though smoking permitted on one side it Carrie’s over.

waiters doing excellent job getting drinks. Only one day poolside was spotty before noon.

Now I have not lived at pool but some towels seem to have permanent residency on loungers and nothing being done.

once again not a great presence of security. Unless there in plain clothes.

I cannot believe how clean the ship is. And on going wiping down of everything and every where.

the elevators have been painful. Cannot understand why it takes forever to have one come to the 16 th of 17 th level.
and when they do. There empty.

ok

layer.

We were on the Indy this past March, the elevators on this ship is much quicker

On the Odyssey last February we were docked so that we had a better view of the Freewind's deck.  They put on quite a little show for us 🤣.

Do yourself a favor and google  firewind cruise ship you will find some scary stuff.

Found out something interesting. I guess 7 pm is the time the customs list comes out of those who get to meet the men in customs for excessive winnings and or major purchases on board. ( Rolex)

Guest services and suite concierge has access to list.  Do not know if anyone else gets it

We are meeting concierge At 7:01. Wish me luck.

later.

Just met Rita and her DH in suite lounge. She is on a b2b2b2 b. (4) in a row.

She just found out on the next cruise they are the couple with the most points as pinnacle. They will hit 2000.

She is so excited.

She came from Ukrainian in the 70’s.

Interesting.   But what if you pay for your major purchases with your credit card instead of charging to your onboard account?  Will you still make the customs list?  🤔

Good question.

I was more concerned because of jackpots won in casino.
You cannot claim losses. So even if you gamble away. They only see amount you won.

But. All purchases have to go on sea pass. That’s how they get you. You are not permitted to use credit cards except to pay off your complete tab. That is your statement when you get home.

Long time ago I won a jackpot of $8400 on a Norwegian ship.  I spent the year contacting any place we had gambled for win/loss statements to take our losses off against my big winning.

I agree

In Ohio I used to go in trashcans at lottery stores to get non winning tickets to show my loss. No more. Ohio stopped a few years back.

And if you try on federal it usually gets you an audit. ( just kidding ). I have no clue. But you cannot claim. No W form available.

I do not know exact numbers.  It is the best kept secret.  But deck 3 is the area that cruisers who are tested and COVID positive are placed. They get free WIFI. and meals are selected by them and delivered to them.

We also heard that once they are escorted off the ship the are to stay in a hotel for 5 days.
Once again. I do not know specifics. Like if they test positive early in cruise vs end of cruise.

What I do know is that this cruise was for us 99% perfect   The only complaint is the elevators avoiding 17 th deck.

Would expect them to be empty;  they unload at the 'trough' prior to continuing up to 17.

Doing a walk off with our luggage this morning.  First time in an elevator, and it was a breeze.  Walked to the forward bank to avoid the WJ rush.

Elevator came, and it was just the two of us for an express ride down to 5.   Easy!!

on our way off after we finish Starbucks.

Walk off was simple. Left Starbucks around 7:25.  No line. The only time we broke stride was for 5 seconds as they scanned our face.

In the taxi, through airport security and at the gate by 8 am.  Walking the airport to get some exercise now.
