We thought we found a nice Lyft ride to Pike Market but it was to small.

 

We took the monorail.  50٪ discount for 65 and up.  $3 round trip. Then a short walk.

This fished was rigged.  When someone would walk up to this fish they would say, look there is a fish in its mouth.   The person would get real close they would pull an attached rope, the fish would jump and make a noise.  It scared a few people.

Before the cruise I was looking forward to Fish and Ships.   It wasn't bad just not special.  I ate the Halibut and chips just for the Halibut.   It may not of seemed so special because I eating it at Skagway. 

I saw the menu you posted in Skagway. How much do they charge for those two pieces of halibut with fries?  It wasn’t listed on the menu.

When we left Pike Market the walk up seemed steeper.

 

Walking back to the monorail I enjoyed the tall buildings.

As we were disembarking I saw a long line in front of us.  As we got there we found the long line was for those who need an elevator.   If an escalator is fine, stay left  

 

I hope the people lined up for the elevators really needed the elevator, because there are those who can’t use an escalator and have no choice but to use the elevator.

When we got off the monorail we discovered the Armory next door.


It has a few stores and places to eat. Later we ate with from friends that just arrived and are sailing out tomorrow on Norwegian.

As we were leaving to head back to the hotel we noticed outside the Armory they were setting up for a concert.

 

And we saw a Tesla truck.

iuki, check the in port times in Sitka very closely. The ship docks several miles out of town that require a bus ride to downtown before you can start the trip to the park. The damage to the mooring from early April is what is causing the ship to use tenders. I would think that when 4000 people get off the ship the buses can't be quick and you have to be back on the bus downtown to get back to the ship before it moves and starts using tenders. Make sure you know how all that will work or not work. sightcrr

I was expecting a, well  castle.  It is basically an historical house, not a castle.  It was still interesting...... but not a castle.

There were 5 stories of rooms and the sixth oor was a viewing room.

My guess is that many/most didn't know where they were going.  They just got in line.

That's the Rivian electric truck.  Very cool and getting a lot of great reviews.  Tesla still hasn't released their Cybertruck and I don't think they even have a date yet for when it will be available.

Yes, it was a Rivian.  It looked nice.  Several electric cars around here.

So glad you went to Chihuly!  It is amazing.  The ceiling at The Bellagio in Vegas is his work as well!
