Can anyone suggest what would be best thing to do following our disembarkation in Barcelona from Beyond ship ?

Flights not till 5 pm and likely need to be in airport 3 hours before .

We are Elite passengers so maybe we can stay on board ship a bit longer?

Any suggestions not to spend day at airport much appreciated!

There are sometimes ship tours that will end at the airport after a morning elsewhere, and there are always local tour operators that will offer transfers inc. a tour...

I do not believe that status is going to get you anything helpful.

You should also build in some time to get a COVID test, assuming you're flying to the U.S.

The OP's location is Scotland, so they probably won't need the test.

As for something to do - depending on how much luggage you have, maybe take the hop-on hop-off bus. There are two routes and each takes 120 minutes to do a full loop,

Thanks -- location doesn't show on cell phone.

As many have suggested, they often have a airport drop off combined with a tour for late flight customers.   I believe they may be in your cruise planner already other times they are available on the ship.

If this isn't the case you might plan a private tour with airport drop off.

They want you off the ship latest by 9 am.

I confirm that has been the policy recently, and I doubt that will change before you (OP) cruise.

It’s tough not doing anything but an organized tour because our your luggage. Within walking distance is certainly the La Rhombla, a major road/park/shops/eateries up through the center of town, starting at the Columbus Monument near the port docks. there is a Columbus ship replica there many times.

We walked over to the Picasso museum nearby and it is fantastic.

But again. Luggage.

Many of Barcelona’s hotels have rooftop patios available to the public.  Choose one and walk/taxi to in and have a relaxing morning and lunch before heading to the airport.
